Can't get Prototype Key despite full stealth

Am I doing something wrong? I did the Prison mission compeletely undetected, three times. In fact, the first time was on my first playthrough when I didn't actually know about the keys. No one sees me and I don't kill anyone. Yet, when I come home, there is no suitcase with the key in the hallway like there's supposed to be.
Should I do this in one go without resets? I could get other keys while resetting, why not this one, then? What am I doing wrong?

Seems like a bug to me... What is weirder is that I've been YOLOing today and went on a full rampage in Cells, coz I wanted to piss off psychiatrist for a reason and when I cam home - there was Prototype Key waiting for me there... I killed ALL THE COPS on the map (stealthily, tho) and the key was there.... So... Lel.

It's defintely a bug. I have to achievement for the prototype key plus all other keys yet the prototype key sword does not show up in the government lab nor is my secret hunter achievement unlocked.

Yeah, I don't have the key nor the associated achievement.

The key can be achieved two ways, if you didn't talk to the DJ you have to full stealth the prison. If you talked to the DJ and refused to take the drugs in the psychologist session, you have to kill everyone AND the homeless man to get it.

if you refused the drug before,you'll get a call from the masked man telling you to kill everyone in prison,that's what YOU need to get the prototype key,the achievement says "fulfilled your secondary goal in prison".

much easier to go full killer mode,follow the prompts - start by talking to the psychiatrist, answer
" answer my questions first " and then go on , to tell him you spoke to the dj - ask if the drugs give you your powers, then say you dont want this
then no
and then no, i dont want the drug.

this changes your dossier, and makes you kill everyone after you find the target's body.
also, kill the homeless dude.
that the mask of sliver's path.
the gold mask path is full on stealth, but this requires you to repeat the club mission and kill the Dj " electrohead " right away, so you don't get the prompts about it in the psych's meeting.

You all say it like there's a choice. But I can't NOT kill him, since the cursor automatically picks that option whether you can or not. Can you actually avoid killing him?

If you do the "kill everyone" route, you can spare him... wich makes you not be able to get the key if you refused the drug after talking to the DJ.

When i killed all policemen i spared this dude.
(and when i didn`t kill anyone game forced me to kill him)

i never killed him before, and I always played stealth. I didn't even know there was a mask angle to that mission until after I beat the game, and was looking for the last few swords/

You either have to do full stealth AND spare the homeless guy or do full kill AND kill the homeless guy.

Homeless guy isn't part of the equation. The "secondary mission" status is already done before the homeless cutscene happens (when you receive the call after the mission).
I did full stealth and killed the guy and got the key.

If you refused drug and got phone call order to kill. You kill everyone.
Otherwise, go full stealth with zero detection.

The homeless guy scene doesn't count if killed or not.
