The ending to this game SUCKED

Its not an ending, more story will follow. Considering this game already has a cult following (rightfully so) we are looking at quite a story that will eventually be told!

I'd rather have a good game with a bad ending than a bad game with a good ending.

I agree it was lack luster, but I think this was only part one, of what i hope will be 3 or more parts.

It wasn't just the ending. The writing in general was bad. It was like some angsty kid in 9th grade wrote it. Many of the characters are the same bad-mouthed hyper-obsessive douchebag. The rest are just boring japanese cartoon style cliches.

If it wasn't for the awesome artwork and the overall game design, I would feel like I didn't get my money's worth.

I thought the writing was well done, and gritty. Sure there were some tongue in cheek moments, but overall the story and delivery is quite well done. Any lines in particular you found particularly egregious?

The psychiatrist / employer was the character that made the least sense. Even in a neo-noir setting, nobody goes that far in their career and has a lavish lifestyle maintaining that kind of attitude. He is so easily triggered, what could possibly make him a convincing psychiatrist? Maybe that was the point - he isn't a real one - but then how did he come to appreciate such a fine office with antiquities without maintaining an upper class disposition?

The grotesque amount of swearing is what kind of hints that an angsty teenager wrote this. Almost every character is cursing at such a rapid constant frequency that I almost couldn't tell which character was which for a few moments. It isn't just the swearing, but that's the biggest clue that none of the characters appear to have any self-control whatsoever. I got laughs from viewers when I said: "Here it comes, capital letters F-bomb in 3... 2... 1..." it was becoming predictable how often a character would lose their cool under the slightest amount of pressure.

While at first I considered that only applied to V - someone who seems like a common gangster - but every character I witnessed in this game behaves the same way. Maybe to a slightly lesser degree, but still very much hostile and short-tempered.

That just isn't good writing. Even in a neo-noir setting, not everyone talks like a thug all the time.
