Steam Deck settings to run the game

Hi all,

I’m creating this discussion to collect all knowledge on how to run the game in one place.
So far I managed to run the game, and setup normal controls.
How-to’s:
- To run the game you need a Ubisoft account. After you pressed “Start game” button in your steam deck menu - it will download Ubisoft launcher. When prompted log in there with your Ubisoft credentials. Game won’t start this time. Exit Ubi launcher with Steam menu: Physical Steam button -> Exit game. Press “Start game” button again. This time Ubisoft launcher will ask you to agree to bound you account to Steam account, choose “Yes”. The game will start this time, but controls will be funny - you won’t be able to aim with the right stick.
- To fix controls press physical Steam button when you in game. Choose controller settings -> Then again Controller Settings -> Edit layout -> Community tab -> XBox pad emulation.

So far game works only 20-40 mins and freezes the console. If anyone has the solution or know how to setup game better you are welcome to suggest.

Cryoutilities 2.0 memory tweaks will get you about an hour and a half playtime before the game slows to a crawl "freeze" forcing you to hard reboot the deck.

Great! Thanks Oz, could you add a link to Cryoutilities nice tutorial if you know one. I'll update the initial post to include those extra steps.

The only way to fix controls: go to game on homescreen.. go to controller settings.. search for Tom Clansys gamepad.. then ingame you go to options.. controller.. set control icons to xbox.

Hey, don’t give up - try different controller setup for this game, one of the community configs worked for my steam deck just fine
