I get 90-120+fps in breakpoint at 1440p all maxed out using the in game FPS counter. I launch the game from Epic Games so I have no idea whether I;m on DX11 or Vulkan since I am suppose to get an option.
In Wildlands it can get as low as 40fps in some areas rendering it unplayable and many of the options only give 2-3 fps increases so "Vulkan" or not Wildlands is unoptimized for more modern hardware and seems to like Intel CPUs better. Also as others have said I use to not have FPS dips this bad so I'm not sure what changed and no settings really helps with the huge fps drops as it did when I played it last year.
Other than that it can only be the CPU limitation mentioned above; Wildlands just never ran well. Breakpoints was indeed better at that point.
Zen 2 CPU's doesn't perform great if threading is poor (even the best of them are around Intel's 7700k levels; yett much better if all cores are used), and Wildlands is probably among them.
Game is running perfect on 1080p, 60 fps, 1.0 scale & Ultra Settings
1 tip for every game if u have no g- or free-sync:
Deactivate v-sync and frame limit ingame.
Go to ur nvidea settings and activate manuely v-sync and frame limit 60fps (if u like triple buffering, activate it) for ur Game.
Activate max power settings too.
U will get 20% more performance in every game... trust me i test it alot with many games and all games running smoother. U can check it with msi afterburner.
The only Problem i have with the game is the black road flickering.... all roads are flickering black... i dont find a fix for this.. have anyone the same problem ? Game is awesome but this is painful.
Here a example: The Video is not from me.

His fix dont work.
thanks guys :)
yes, i have the same frame rates.. i caped my screen to 60hz and limiting my fps to 60, v-sync is on too... then the game is running fine...
other games i play with 120hz too... but it is what it is :)
anyway it's fun.
Some suspects weak processors, some suspects overlay etc. But I suspect only two things,
1. There is some form of hidden anti tampering software inside UBI's games which won't let you utilize the full capabilities of your specs. It will if you run it slow with minimum fps(60 typical) and let that anti tamper thingy use a big chunk of your processing power.
2. Ubisoft connect. This thing will tamper with the game and check a thousand times if you've logged in. I don't know what other actions it does to interrupt. It does this even in offline mode, yeah. I get the stutters all the time and its not a sync problem. Relogging might be helpful in some cases.
And this is not just a theory rather, if you look each and every Ubisoft game. This is the case. They run bad. Some people say its not optimized, it might be the issue.
Some people uses a pirated copy of the game after buying the same game for single player. For this reason only.
I love Wildlands but not necessarily Ubisoft, no, not these days.
Ok, LOL, conspiracy theory!
But it's much easier, the game runs great as long as you're basically walking alone, with a few people through the landscape, but when it comes to combat and vehicles, physics in the form of firefights and larger groups of attackers are infested, there is Stuttering and this is mainly an optimization problem and this is not only a problem of this game but also of Arma and BF2042....
PS: Just for REMEMBER LOL!

Thank you, I promise it works great, worlds better than anything else you can do, there are incredibly stupid guides, also here on Steam, which usually pull the optics extremely down and uses useless settings for example increasing the CPU priority.. ..
Even our friend "Nite69" was unteachable at the time and didn't even give the settings a chance.
You can read in "Hall of Fame". LOL.
