Abysmal performance
Is this game poorly optimised? I have a 2080 super and the framerates are choppy, even on 1080p, not even max graphics.

I have a 2080 super and it runs great on ultra at 1080p. What cpu do you have ?

I had the same issue, frames suddenly dropped from 60 to 30 and stayed there after I could play for hours with rocksteady 60 frames yesterday, found out that the game somehow magically switched from fullscreen to windowed mode and turned ingame vsync off after started game today, with fullscreen and vsync on it seemed ok again. RTX 3080 user here.

Just lower your graphics. Its a heavy game to play with alot to render in the big areas.

3080 gpu running on 1440p, ultra settings and get around 60-80 fps which is pretty low because its a graphicly demanding game. You can drasticly lower the graphics which makes it run very well again.

Im running this game on a triple monitor setup (1440p) on a 3080 TI on High Settings. on around 90 to 115 fps, i think the game is actually optimized very well.

(Originally ran this game on a GTX Titan X (2x 980 on single card) upon game Release, later on an RTX 2080 TI, and now 3080 TI. )

I remember getting at least 60 fps on a 4k resolution back with my GTX Titan X,

Personally i think it may be an other Hardware problem with "OP's" system,

Goonbag - I'm sorry to hear that you're encountering performance issues in Ghost Recon Wildlands. Can you let me know if you've already tried any of the troubleshooting steps shared by the community members above, or else the ones listed in our PC troubleshooting guide[www.ubisoft.com]? Your CPU and GPU both exceed the recommended requirements for the game, so you shouldn't be encountering performance issues of the nature you're describing.

cyberD - Thanks for sharing what seemed to be the cause of the performance issues you were encountering, in case it could help Goonbag!

Total He-Brew and TheProScout, thanks for sharing your insight and ideas as well, it's much appreciated.

Yeah it sounds like it could be that at first, although I'm running Red Dead 2 at 1440p almost all settings ultra and getting 60+ fps without DLSS

Hey Goonbag, thank you for your post.

If you would like some more recommendations from the community for your system specs, it may be useful to know what graphical options you are using in-game.

If you locate your settings file here and copy it into the thread, other players may be able to recommend some tweaks to better your performance >
