Thanks for reaching out to us with this, sorry to hear your controller isn't being recognised!
Just to confirm, it is being picked up but as an Xbox Controller rather than a Dualshock 4?
If so, could you please confirm the following;
- Do you use any additional software with your controller?
- Have you enabled PlayStation Configuration Support in Steam (Steam Settings > Controllers > General Controller Settings)?
- Have you tried verifying the game's files[ubi.li]?

Just to confirm the issue itself, as you say that the controller is being recognized;
- Are you unable to use it in-game for certain actions?
- Are the prompts still showing as those for an Xbox controller?

May we please know if you're using the controller as wired or via a wireless / Bluetooth connection?
We'd recommend wired if possible.
And could you please try toggling PlayStation configuration support off / on and ensuring Xbox Configuration Support is disabled in your Steam settings to see if there's any changes?

Can you start the game with your controller turned off and turn it on once the main menu is loaded and see if it starts working?

Hi there! I'm having the same issue, and tried loading the game before turning on the controller. This somehow made the controller even less functional, as I was only able to navigate the main menu with the left stick and was not able to interact with the menu in any other way.
The controller just don't work like that. Look I appreciate your time, but since I started playing Ubisoft games I started getting troubles with games and Ubisoft's support has never been able to solve ANY of my issues. So I give up, keep your game and my money. Just try and release games that function
If possible, could you please share any screenshots or clips of your controller's functional issues in-game and your button prompts not being updated?
We can then pass them onto the team for investigation.

That said, I'm sorry to hear you've faced issues with your gamepad. I've had a look internally, and I can't find widespread reports of this issue, so I'm confident it's something we can solve with some local troubleshooting.
