Game Won't Start

I have the game on Steam but it won't start. Steam say to contact Ubisoft who say I can only use Live Chat which isn't currently available so I am a bit stuck. Any experts out there?

It's the first game I buy from Ubisoft and I just had the same problem. Game doesn't start and gives no message. It's not explained anywhere what I have to do in order to start the game.

Seems the game installed some Uplay stuff. I went in forlder: Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher
Started upc.exe. It updated and I made an account. Verified the account and logged in this Uplay launcher. After that I launched the game from Steam and the Uplay launcher asked me to assign the game in to the Ubisoft account. Then the game launched finally.

Would be wonderful it this was explained somewhere or made easier.

PS: The game is fire, tho!

Go to the local game files and run the GRW.exe file and see if you get an error message. If you get an error message saying something along the lines of 'msvcr110.dll is missing' then you need to download the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 from the microsoft website and choose repair.

Posting this response in Feb 2024. I had the same issue.

I tried to fix with VC Redistributable 2012 with no luck. Multiple reinstalls of GRW and Ubisoft connect. Still nothing b

Then I went onto the Microsoft website and downloaded and installed the 2015-2022 VC Redistributable (it was a combined single .exe) and now the game starts! Was able to play without issues.

Hope this helps anyone else playing this game in this year
