Shimmering/Flickering on vegetation when panning
Just installed this game and noted the following bug (see video)

Video Link [imgur.com]

Basically, when you pan it looks like the vegetation has a white flicker/shimmer. This happens irrespective of what resolution or whether you have v-sync/fps lock on or off.

I'm playing on a 4k TV @ 60Hz and have tried turning input lag on and off but the issue is still there.

My specs are as follows:

Intel Core i9 10900KF 10-Core LGA 1200 3.70GHz
ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-E GAMING LGA 1200 ATX Motherboard
Thermaltake TOUGHRAM RGB 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 4400MHz Memory - White
ROG-STRIX-RTX3080-10G-GAMING

All drivers are up to date

Hey Manav08, I think I spotted your post about this too in the Ubisoft Forums.

Would you be able to post your in game video settings to see if we are able to recreate this?

Would you also be able to tell us if this flicker effect occurs in certain areas of the map, or anywhere with vegetation and shrubs?

Thank you,

Thanks for your response! You are correct I did post on the forums as I am quite frustrated with the bug. Happy to continue the troubleshooting here if its ok?

The settings can be found @ imgur link [imgur.com]

And yes it occurs on all objects barring ground and sky. And yes it happens everywhere.

1. Nvidia drivers are up to date
2. Game file integrity has no issues.
3. All background apps are disabled barring NVIDIA setting
4. Operating system is up to date.

I have already re-installed UBISOFT Connect

Wow after testing I think I found the issue!

If I turn off Anti Aliasing the issues disappears. If any method of anti aliasing is selected the issue returns and is more noticeable in FXAA than Temporal.

I'll do some more testing tomorrow.

Got the exact same bug myself, for me it's the Temporal AA, want to know something funny, I noticed a lot of games on the Xbox One console had this issue. Switching it off, putting some settings down a notch and putting the video rendering setting to 1.2 is a good enough temporal replacement, haha. I am playing on AMD, a RX 5700 XT and Ryzen 5 CPU. Now I just noticed the main roads have lots of square seems :D

I am having this issue in 2023 with various plants flickering. All anti-aliasing solutions cause flickering. Even no AA it still flickers. This might be a issue that is popping up again with new nvidia drivers? Can we work with nvidia on this? I had august 2023 drivers and am now on the latest for 30 series cards.

I have tried, changing literally every graphic and video setting and combinations, verifying integrity, reinstall the game, clean install of GPU drivers, Factory reset and fresh windows install.

I have attached a youtube video showing my issue. Really need help.
