Can I play offline?
Game is advertised as single player. I'm 40. I don't want a lot of teenagers abusing me while I'm enjoying a solo gaming session.

When I "continue campaign" the game starts matchmaking and I don't know how to stop it.

If I can't play offline then I'm afraid its a refund.

Default is SOLO..
1. The Matchmaking does not start unless you want it - 1 key
2. you can stop Matchmaking - 1 key
3. Even IF you host a game only Friends can join without permission.. and even that can be restricted to require your OK

I have no idea what you´re on about, except trolling...
Imho, better refund fast, people like you won´t make it far in Wildlands :grwskull:

I'm over 40 and can safely say that wespe is right, you don't have to worry about playing online against teens. You can set it to invite only if you want. I've only put in 8 hours, but I haven't had any issues playing solo.

No loud sounds coming in hot over the coms, nothing. All is well. ^_^

And the 3 AI teammates they give you are solid, at least on the difficulty I'm on.

Wespe: Reported & ignored. You have proved my point.

Thanks Guild. How do I go to invite only? I'm probably clicking the wrong thing. Every time I start the game I get "matchmaking" and have to wait for it to connect me to other players.

Last time I played I got a multiplayer match, another, and finally after keeping exiting, I got to play solo and had some fun, but I don't know how I did it.

Sorry for coming across as a luddite. I only play single player, and only bought this because I thought it was single player. All this matchmaking jazz just doesn't make sense.

When you select your character to play, on the menu there is a Tab to turn off people inviting themselves into your game. That counts it as Solo.

WeMod, has an anti-Cheat exe Blocker you can add that'll make it permanently Solo, so players can Cheat.
You can use this to Force the game into a Solo mode of sorts. However you WON'T be able to use the Character in coop at a later date. Also using this, you will need to turn off Player invites as them joining will crash the game.

Great D'harhan. Thanks.

I'll try that mod. I was frustrated that I couldn't play it in VR too. The third party software required (VorpX) is blocked by the anti-cheat.

You solved two problems for me with that one.

Wildlands doesn't really have that large of a griefing community so you have virtually nothing to worry about. Most randoms will get along in tandem because most of the existing playerbase are the people who are typically dedicated to actually playing the game tactically. That being said, yes, this is one of the games that can be played offline IF you start UbiConnect in Offline mode.

Sounds weird that it throws you to matchmaking automatically. If it still happens, try 'select campaign save' and continue from there.

How do I start Ubisoft in offline?

there is no need to start Uplay in offline modus.
if your put your game on "privat", or "friends only" no other gamer will join your lobby.

When you start your game, you see the Main menu, then you select "campaign", then you are in your "lobby menu", where you see your character.
If you press "B" or click on the switch right of the "start" button, you can change your lobby settings, if needed.

Dont press "F", or the game starts searching for other players, and I guess somehow you always do that ^^ (no offense, just guessing)
