Would this game make sense if I played it not playing any Ghost Recon games and not planning to? Just planning on playing just Wildlands? Or is this part of a bigger story?

yes she is 1.
Of course, characters from the rainbow and other lines appear there, but these are purely secondary quests for items and there will be only 1 plot.

I never played any of the other GR games or 3rd person games of any kind and it's been fun. Very good game, not great but good. Lots of the FPS mechanics will translate over.

Nope, there are elements from all previous Ghost Recon and Rainbow 6 that crop up in this and Breakpoint. Not sure if H.A.W.X. crops up like GR did in said game.
