A Method To Fix The "Unable To Locate Uplay PC"

a person on Reddit explained the tutorial how to fix this issue, but i'll try and do it here

(MAKE SURE UBISOFT CONNECT IS UNINSTALLED FROM YOUR PC BEFORE TRYING THIS)

For all users who have been experiencing errors with GRW today, here’s the fix that worked for me.

Go to this link and download this version of the Ubisoft Connect Launcher: https://uplay.en.uptodown.com/windows/download/1039955838
(this is a older version of the ubisoft connect that should allow you to play GRW)

Install it, but DO NOT open it. As soon as you open it, it will start updating itself.

Once it’s installed, disconnect your computer from the internet completely.

Open Ubisoft Connect, and if everything goes well, you should see the login screen. (follow the prompts until the login screen)

As soon as you see that, reconnect to the internet.

(after then login and try connecting to GRW)

PS: the file is not malware or anything. I've scanned it myself and it seems clear but if you do not trust me, you can try a malware file scan if you like, but i'm on the game playing at the moment and it's working, hope this works for you guys :)

if you're having any troubles uninstalling Ubisoft connect, go into task manager on your PC and end task the "Ubisoft Connect (32 bit)" at the bottom and end any other Ubisoft connect related tasks then try uninstalling Ubisoft connect, then it should work then try installing the Ubi file linked above

I'm having the same issue and I bought it from the Ubi Store, not Steam. Stop defending Ubisoft's incompetence.

Easier way to fix this is to just replace the files "uplay_r164.dll" and "uplay_aux_r164.dll" in launcher's directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher" with fresh ones - just use a search engine and download them from freedll or some similar site.

I have it on Ubi and it's the same issue. Ubisoft is the problem, not the game. I wouldnt praise Ubisoft in any capacity at this point in their business chapter.

reinstalling uplay did nothin, easy anti cheat keeps telling me my files are untrusted
