Is there a way to play offline if I own the game via Ubisoft? The methods shown in a web search don't work anymore. (changing the settings.yaml file)

I have the game UBI. Start UBI , put IBI in offline mode. Now the game will only work single player, and skips all the Log in security. Much faster game start!

;)
Thanks, but how do you put UBI in offline mode? I no longer see an option

You can but the option is not in there anymore.
1. Disconnect from the internet.

2. Launch Ubiconnect. Enter your email and password and Ubiconnect will launch automatically in offline mode. This requires you to at least login once online with mail verification otp in the past. This is called OFFLINE LOGIN.

3. After disconnecting from the internet, you might see another small window(similar in size to that of Wildlands) saying Try again or, Go offline.
You can't get into Ubiconnect if you click Go offline, they won't let you.
What you can do here, is go to settings on the same screen and

i. tap the checkbox saying Start Ubiconnect in offline mode.
ii. Reconnect with internet. This step is crucial.
iii. This will launch Ubiconnect in perma OFFLINE MODE.

4. You'll see these option when you install Ubiconnect too.

i put it in offline mode even logged out and it still logs me back in without putting in my credintials
The fixes I tried mostly work just once. Then the game or Ubi creates a settings.yaml.temp file and overrides everything from thereafter. This is based on changing the settings.yaml folder in the Ubisoft Game Launcher, location C:\Users\(your username)\Appdata\Local\. You change the line "offline:false", to "offline: true" I understand this fix used to work, but no longer does.

Thanks, but when I go to step #2 in your explanation, Ubi does not show a place to enter my username and password

Are you setting that file to "Read Only" after you set the "offline:true" so that Ubisoft can't change the settings in it?
Yes - still adds temp file

Ok. Anything pops up at all?
You don't see this?

Lol I am directed to this very screen when I turn off my internet. Reinstall the beta and try it again. Don't alter any config files and try the steps again is what I mean.

Here is what I found that works.Probably won't make any sense.

1) In above mentioned settings.yaml folder - set autopatching to false
set offline to true
set syncsavegames to false
Save the file and make it read only. The game still makes a settings.yaml.temp file, but
it doesn't seem to matter

2) In Ubi Connect "Settings" - under "General" heading - I have nothing checked
in "Downloads" heading - no auto updates

3) In Game properties in UbiConnect, under "General" tab - check no auto update

4) log out of UbiConnect. Go to Ctrl-Alt-Delete and make sure it isn't running in background. If so, close the first line and it will all close. I have it set so when I close UbiConnect, it does not remain open in the background. You can check if it is with Ctrl -Alt- Del

5) Click on Ubi Connect from your desktop. The Login screen will appear as doomedSniper showed in post #9 above. Enter your username/email and password . Uncheck Remember Me.

6) On same screen, at bottom, select "Settings". Check Start Ubisoft Connect in Offline Mode

7) Click the "Back" button in lower left corner. Click on "Login" in lower right corner. Start the game from UbiConnect, not your desktop game icon

This will require you to log in every time, but so far it's the only thing I have found that works. I don't disconnect the internet connection at all in this method
Try my fix - see if it works

I been with PC's since 1978, I even moded OS's ... UBI...
I do perm fixes, not those that require again

Just get the FIXED game! Why fight the nonsense of the server for single player game?

Off line = single player

Seriously?
