If you want to get a deeper impression, check the Guides and you will see what you can do..
-> Breakpoint will feel very limited once you played 50+ hours in Wildlands

If you decide for Breakpoint:
- don´t buy Ultimate-Edition (GOLD is enough since UBI cancelled the plans for Year2-Pass)
- decide very carefully, If you want to play "Classic" (Drones, etc -> much higher Difficulty)
- hide from Azrael Drones or you´re dead
- without leveling all classes, you´re finished with Story in 2-3 days (less than TombRaider)
- Gearlevel > Skill
Enjoy the game, whichever you take
got deleted? or are the mods just going insane right now?
Yes, the game is still worth it in 2021. I still play it.
I believe it was one of the best games of the previous decade.
Not because its story is particularly brilliant (tho' the attn to world-building detail is).
Not because the missions aren't grindy, because the whole game is.
Not because the AI is genius and enemies are more than just blood-filled bean bags, 'cuz, y'know . . . they aint.
Not because it is devoid of painful issues like AI that knows where you are because you exploded that C4 . . . because . . . (mercifully there is not too many such things and I'm used to them)
Not for any of that . . .
But because it is such a well-constructed, though average, plain-spoken and solid shooter.
Run this way, shoot. Run that way, boom. Kill the dudes, rescue the maiden. Rinse and repeat. And the biomes are pretty dang gorgeous to play in.
(Stuff it: apparently I won't get hounded for unpopular opinion if I lavish praise on this game. I don't play many, so I cannot speak whether this is the BEST shooter, but frankly, it's not trying to be fancy with Predator-vision / invisibility / tech armour or whatever, it's just trying to be SOLID. And it really, really is a good game. I love it. Still. Five years or whatever later. About to start a new go through. 500+ hours. AI is actually better than I think most I've played. They adapt, but they do also run into your bullets. But the biggest problem with AI is YOUR guys. Morons, most of the time. I go sniper, they have no problem leaving my flanks or rear exposed. Idiots. Zero tactical awareness. Drone you order. I preferred GR:1's ability to take them over. Then at least you knew there was only one moron to blame. But I cannot gush about the world / locales enough. Sure, old gen gfx, but . . . gorgeous.)
I mean, don't get me wrong. GTA this aint, but it's the best GR game since, frankly, the very original GR. I know, that aint saying much, but it's saying something.
And, so, if you're like me who just wants to blow away some bad-guys for the few hours on a Sunday afternoon because you want SOMEONE in this universe to cower before your brilliance, something you sure AINT getting at work ... then, frankly you could do much worse. (Trust me. I mean, you could buy GR:BP for one!)
Who?
My youngest son bought this for me as his friend did for him. I loved this game and then we played together and it was outrageous and fun. So I bought us crates together and the howls just continued :)
The very vistas and capabilities to explore the rich lands, the moon lit mountain lakes as the fish sprite and the natures sound. I have run and climbed across this map a lot looking for ways and means, access keys and knowing the terrain. - If you learn to flap your parachute at the just right time you can ride most jumps at least 10 km if not 16.
So then I started enjoying how things seem to change, and learned up.
I have 5 Tier 1 guys on 2 accounts, and the 6th guy is Tier 28 at an insane level of game play. No AI, no hud, no skills, nothing, nada. But increases my level of learning and enjoyments.
I hope this helps
Holy guacamole, Batman!
How the blazes do you get to Tier 1 at all much less in the course of one run-through. Most I've managed is Tier 15, I think, and that was only because as soon as I got it, I was permanently switched on it.
I can only assume you kept playing loooooong after putting a bullet ... ahem ... concluding the game.
I have been told no-HUD play is boss, but I'm not good enough for that sort of thing.
I see the crazy fun in doing so much in so many different ways. The game starts off easy and learns me up and makes me want to see what I can do.
Then I started with assumptions that you do not need to level a weapon up. That now every action and ammo counts.
PS My 1st Tier 1 guy I did all the missions before accepting tier levels so was convoys mostly. Now I have Tier 1 guys with missions to do.
Well I do not believe I am good enough to play with pps, so I train up.
Thank you and GL
I think it is certainly worth it, and I've been playing with just me and the AI team. I haven't played Breakpoint but from everything I've heard it's not as good except maybe a few improvements. But one of the big complaints I've seen about Breakpoint is how "empty" Auroa feels, and that Wildlands' Bolivia is more engaging and believable.
One of Top 3 Ubi games for sure IMO.
(But still its Ubi - expect repetetive quests ;-)
I really suck at planes and enjoy even the failures as I am taking out convoys win or lose :) This IS a GREAT GAME !! :)
