Mouse glitch - only affects mouse movement when moving left or up
I have found the weirdest glitch with this game - I haven't been able to find the same symptoms online that many other people have encountered with their mouse, eg, input lag, glitching etc. Its able to be replicated very easily and ive made a short recording in the video below.

My issue is (and ive been able to actually play with it) the mouse majorly freaks out when I move it to the left and sometimes up. It does NOT happen when moving the mouse down or to the right.

I have plugged an old Xbox controller into the PC to try and replicate the issue..The controller works perfectly fine, even when plugged in at the same time as the mouse (I can use them both at the same time, same issues listed above)

Video attached for what I mean. I have tried running graphics on ultra low, changing all sensitivity, switching V Sync OFF

Anyone ever encountered something like this before?

I can play through the game, but it does make clearing buildings very hard!!

That's very weird, it looks almost as if there is another key being pressed at the same time when you move left.

Are you sure you don't have another controller connected that is being activated when you move your mouse left or something similar?

Try isolating the issue, disconnect every peripheral you have and reconnect them one by one to see if you find the culprint.

Oh wow... If anyone is still following this thread, I have figured out what is causing the problem.

Regardless of which kind of mouse you have plugged in, if you go into KEYBOARD AND MOUSE in the in-game options settings, you switch the AIMING MODE to toggle - boom, problem solved.

It clearly has something to do with the game not liking that you are holding the right mouse button down and moving the mouse.

Have you tried using different mice? Also, I've noted severe problems related to proprietary drivers/firmware packages related to mice and keyboards, and my solution has been to uninstall those applications and allowing Windows to use generic drivers to manage them.

Windows is NOT a tsunami. Jeez! That third-party software is the gawdamned culprit. I've been gaming since 19-friggin'-seventy-eight! I'm not talking out of my ass! Can over forty years of gaming experience steer you wrong? Plus, I started studying, programming, and building computers in 1984. Whatever. Listen to what you want to hear, or listen to what actually makes sense. It's your choice, and whatever option you choose, it's no skin off of my nose.
