What, the fact that they aren't marked on the map or that they respawn?
This is by no means the only solution when accosted by Unidad, but it works for me because I play stealth mode only. They arrive in a blaze of glory and leave scratching their asses wondering what all the fuss was about while i quietly continue to go about achieving the aim of the mission
You can do it in the Media Luna base.
I've tried a few times, a half hour in they're still attacking with apache type helicopters the works they're not leaving ever.
Even if you do manage it, I'm sure that will at least take 40-60 miinutes of non stop waves
Which is exactly the point the game is making, STOP FIGHTING THEM.
You are Ghosts, not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Rambo.
There is no 'your way to play', there is a right and a wrong way to play this, and if you are playing it by trying to fight Unidad to satisfy your ego, you are doing it wrong. The moment you get that through your head, you'll find that you'll stop being mad at Unidad.
Ghost does not necessarily mean you're invisible. For me it comes with two alternatives,
First, never be seen.
Second, Kill'em all if you're detected. Cuz there are missions where you're bound to be seen.
Both of these ways fulfils the ghost agenda. No one lives to tell a tale. This course of action is exponentially difficult than the "don't get seen" method. On the other hand stealth is a joke when Unidades are not accounted for as they can re-spawn in certain areas. But this is not the whole game. From that perspective you're right, I guess.
Also, you've been mistaken. They do not spawn endlessly even in ghost mode tier 1. The faster you obliterate 'em all the faster they stop re-spawing. You can do this most efficiently with a chopper. They'll eventually give up after some time.
Before any uneasy comments, this is the observation that made me believe what I'm talking about right now.

As a whole I agree, kind of. But also, its how the game is. There is no place for a change, you'll have to accept as it is now. Obliterate each wave completely to make them go away in level 4.
I scope out a base, Get into a close spot thats not surveyed often, then a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rebel car runs into a santa blanca member, and a unidad patrol is randomly called. Then the unidad fight the santa blanca for an obscene amount of time. All the while Im just sitting there dumbfounded as they AI path near my location but dont close in because I literally stayed prone for like 5 minutes.
I can get that things being herded toward the player is necessary, and I genuinely LIKE the faction in-fighting, but when theres no logical reason for them to pathfind toward me and they do anyway, it pisses me off and breaks immersion. This isn't directly related to the OP topic, but its multiple little things that piss me off about unidad. It seems like they could be implemented in a much better way.
You're talking to someone else, not me. I'm stating some facts in response to someone else. It would help if you follow along
The wanted level is so easy to lose that when I was given daily quests that required you to kill enemies with unidad at level 4 it was a chore to even reach that level.
I kept losing all stars accidentally by just moving a few meters away from my last seen position or killing everyone only for unidad to give up before even reaching 4 stars.
They should have been made harder to lose in my opinion.
