Tier 1 mode and game difficulty level choice
I expect to hit level 30 (normal not tier mode level) next week so have been doing a bit of googling about activating tier 1 mode and what that means. I think I've got a reasonable grasp of roughly what it all means now, but have been unable to find out one particular bit of info.

I gather that when you hit tier 35, you can now only play the campaign in Extreme mode. What about the earlier tier levels?

So far (in pre tier mode) I have been playing only in normal difficulty mode. What tier could I get to and still be allowed to play in normal? I would also be interested to know which tiers shut off which difficulty levels before you hit 35 and can only do extreme.

I don't see myself going for really difficult stuff - probably aiming for the HTC at tier 40 but don't want to cut myself off from a difficulty level I actually enjoy. I know I could turn off/on tier mode , but I would like to play at a level I am happy with, with tier mode on all the time.

If anyone could help with info re tier mode level corresponding to allowed game difficulty choice that would be great!

Thanks in advance.

starting tier > forced regular or harder (afaik)
tier 40 > forced advanced or harder (get hti)
tier 35 > forced extreme

tier 5> lvoac bad news

per tier get 300 prestige

and uhm u can deactivate and reactivate tier anytime, so if u wanna go extreme u can activate it again (tagging supply convoys, turning on mission, etc)

i got to tier 1, but yeah it was a chore, the dtech hti is worth it, lvoac bad news is better m4a1 but its not that accurate unlike acr or mk17 modded to acc

activating tier mode in guerilla does give more starting credits, tier 01 is 3200 while non tier/regular is 1000, even if the tier switched off before fight began

if at t35 is locked to extreme, maybe t40 is locked to advanced, and t45 to regular

the tier level up is manual. u need to go to tier menu and select level up. so u can stop leveling at t36

but between mmm t40 and tier off there is almost no difference. also early lvls are fast. a guy lvl 30 and other t40 are the same for me, same experience, time, etc (if is his first char)

u play alone or join random sessions?

cus usually ppl deactivate tier mode when playing with randoms, most of them just alert the enemies while u ar still searching for a cover

sometimes u find a decent team, and tier mode lvl is more loable. specially when team is doing convoys

at higher tier lvl, more resources u get. from a 5k convoy u can earn 10k, 15k

also u earn more fashion stuff and prestige credits for lvling tier

tier mode scks when enemy got alerted. but clean an outpost in total stealth, thats OP

keep playing and u will learn how to deal with the difficult on high tier.

but the real problem, imo, is playing tier with randoms. so if u play alone is not a big deal

and if playing coop, activate tier mode if is a decent team. i know u said u dont want to pass t35, but eventually u will haha

PS: bad english haha

Extreme not that bad only at 50% the campaign and started Ghost mode as well and enjoying the game.
Currently playing solo but know playing with friends is much more fun. Currently my dad i am playing with due to medical reasons he cant join in but more than welcome to invite me if need a team mate, and my old man also willing for others to join in. currently just myself and my dad playing together.

That's great info all - thank you :) It really helps to know which levels I can try "safely".

I figure I'll play on normal till tier 41, then deactivate tier mode. Then in non-tier mode I'll try advanced and if I like it will reactivate tier and accept tier 40. Rinse and repeat!

I'd be fine if there was an option to rollback a tier and give up any extra rewards, but the irreversible lack of choice is not so good.

Anyhow - now equipped with valuable info will experiment!

Cheers :)
