Just finished Narco Road. Did not like.
Gotta say, not a fan. I loved the base game but can't say I'd recommend NR.

Did not like transitioning from team based mechanics to single player mode. I kinda get it's more of a narrative thing that you're working alone, but I got used to team mechanics like being able to be revived, or being able to use sync shot when taking out enemies.

Did not like the cars and planes in the base game, and I absolutely hated them in Narco Road. I played Need for Speed Heat most recently and the cars handle so poorly in this Wildlands, along with not being able to remap the keys so I'm not jumping out of a car when I mean to hit the handbrake to drift, or braking when I meant to hit nitrous

Hate most of the side missions. Gave up on them and got the reputation up by doing aerial stunts using the helicopter
-Getting in a car and finding a map with no directions to find a lost car is terrible
-Van driving missions infuriate me with the passenger high as a kite yanking on the steering wheel, sent me off a cliff a few times
-Animal rescue was OK.
-Crop duster - plane controls are terrible, so I absolutely hated

Story wise it was alright. Not as good as the base game but it was fine. But I felt confused when this was supposed to take place. It could be that it's supposed to be after the main game, but it could just as easily be an alternate universe that has no affiliation with the main game.
Several locations are the same as the original game, but treated as if they're not those places, like the first place you start in the game you meet Eddie at his place, except it's Nidia Florez's mansion.
Final boss area spoilers
El Invisible gives you the task to fake your death so you become invisible yourself, but then game mechanics dictate you have to continue building up your following in order to unlock further missions. What? How is that supposed to make sense? I get that mechanic makes sense earlier in the game, mostly with Eddie's region, but that just seems counterproductive for what he's asking of you

Other weirdness in the game:
Using the vehicle summon, your character will call out to nobody in particular "I called Pac Katari for a ride." For one thing, you're running solo, so there's no reason to say that. You're also working with the cartel, not the rebels this time around, and other quick actions like mortar fire or recon have a different voice ID'd as someone from the cartel answering you.
Cheesy one-liners thrown in for nobody in particular felt awkward and forced.

Yup! if you own a Gaming company and want to be a complete failure just call Ubisoft and ask them how they did it. This could have been a Great game but Noooo, Ubisoft decided to Pump the Pooch on this one. So much potential but such a Failure.

Seems you didn´t understand that Narco Road happens BEFORE Wildlands. That Nidia Flores mansion and other stuff had owners before everyone "united" under SantaBlanca.

NarcoRoad was far from great, partially annoying even. But when I played it again last year, I came to like it quite a bit for the most part, just the over-emphasis on vehicle chase was more for teens.. and yes, it´s not really GhostRecon :steammocking:

Literally just started Fallen Ghosts and in the briefing Bowman talks about the reason they're sending you back is because of the data leak in the ending of Narco Road though
