I´m sure there is some player who will swear on LMGs.. but as a Coop Tier 01 player my priority is stealth, which rules out anything without suppressor (90% of LMGs).

The only silenced LMG for new players is most likely STONER.. ok, but don´t expect too much..

Whenever I have to use LMG for DailyChallenge.. it´s U100 (Year2Pass):
1. it´s a beauty (esp. short version with nice skin)
2. it´s a sniper (200m headshots)
3. but in heavy engagement low RoF is a problem (eg: 4 Unidad 20m away)

-> All that said, once you have several maxed weapons (for different situations) LMG is not needed. In fact, strong AntiMaterialRifle + SMG is already much better.
And If you take a good ASR with grenade launcher, you might never need anything else.. given you have decent skills

bought game + FG dlc on sale, so started with decent barret and 5.56xi with m203gl, totally op starting 1st run lol.

workin on building up weapons, crap seems to always get loud with our crew so mk48 w/200 belt is fun atm in cqc, not tier 1 yet.

It's really dependent on your play style, but they can be perfectly viable, mainly in you favor "run and gun" over stealth. As far as the best, well, "best" is subjective, but my personal favorite is the 9mm C1. Yeah, yeah, it doesn't have the best stats, but it's the most well rounded SMG in the game, and seriously, give the thing a try...it's amazing. Check this out.

I see.. you mean screenshots of the "Province map"..true.
At least, the weapons list the according province.. so minor flaw for me

I´d argue it´s the best LMG in Wildlands regarding overall usefulness and combat-distances.
