what is the best assault rifle/ submachine gun

i'm currently using an mk17 as my primary and a maxed out desert tech hti. i'm tier 23 and i'm looking for the absolute best rifle. i've heard good things about the mk18, but i'm not sure. i'd love your suggestions!!

The tricky part is getting some of those nice tools
For SMG.. MP7 is awesome, same for Scorpion Evo3. Until you finally get the Vector Spectra, best Allround +Infiltration SMG in the game. Just very unlikely to have it in first 500hours..

ASR is much better.. a lot of choice depending on your playstyle.
If you don´t need SMG category for DailyChallenge, you might think about Compact ASR.. basically a top5 SMG with GrenLauncher
Once you have MK18 or 416.. you won´t touch other ASRs anymore

DesertTech HTI is gold, until you get the 50. BFG with much faster Reload.
If you hate bullet-drop, might even check the OP-corner (Extranjeros BFG, MuddyBones ..or the gamebreaking 1km laser: SR25 Jungle)
