Set video to "Borderless (windowed)." I think it also resets this setting upon updates, as I had to redo this lately. A game restart is necessary in order for the change to occur.

Yes, i went to send a ticket since seems no one knows the answer on internet besides "move the game to the same disc of your OS" and i got answers, the normal ones, i did them and still have the same problem, i send ubisoft my msinfo but the second time that i did it was yesterday so the service is gonna be offline until the second of january... Hopefuly it fixes something, i dont wanna refound the game cuz i really enjoy it with friends
It's a ubisoft thing unfortunately. Update 1.8 seems to have broken the alt+tab function. Never had an issue even in fullscreen with it. Having issues myself with windowed borderless and newest nvidia drivers.

My guess it has something to do with the engine itself. Lots of people having this issue with this game and also The Division. No real answers from ubisoft

Hey there,

Can I just check if the crashing is happening when you Alt + Tab at any specific time?

Many thanks

Seems like i fix it, i dont exactly know which solution did it but first of all i had one faulty usb that was making the camera go in an out like every 3 seconds and that give me some sound issues, but i also had the ram under my mhz at 2133 so i ramp it up to 3k. So far i played more than 15 min which usually the game crashes in the first 5 minutes, so i believe its fixed, but i will keep testing

Thank you for updating us on this RacuTW.

Using Alt + Tab to tab in and out of the game can sometimes cause the Ram to work overtime as the computer switches between programs and uses more resources that sometimes causing the game to crash as it exceeds the usage of ram it has been designated by the game.

Did you have to overclock your ram to get it to that speed or was it not set up in the bios out of curiosity? Please let us know if the issue occurs again. We can always take a look at your case number as well if the issue persists.

It doesnt have oc but it was running under the normal speed. I still dont know why the first day was perfectly fine and then 3 days later started crashing, but seems like its fine now. Thanks!

No problem RacuTW, let us know if the problem occurs again for you as you have provided some valuable insights. Also, you have reminded me to check my ram speed in my bios also as I have not checked this since installing newer ram!

Take care friend, we are here if you need us anytime, I hope this issue will be resolved for you now.

Okay so i maybe found solution to that. If you'r using any voice communitcator like discord even if you'r talking with someone threw steam voice chat it might cause that lag. So you can only talk in ghost recon's voice chat. At least it worked for my friend.
