Replace new save game with pre-existing character save - help needed.
I purchased Ghost Recon Wildlands this morning, and a cousin of mine that owns the game too has sent me his character save files, since it was a character that we used to play together every time I went over to his home. It’s a 75% game completed female character with almost every weapon and attachment unlocked (except machine guns, because who the heck plays with machine guns, duh?).

From forum posts I checked earlier regarding replacing save files:

https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1587641-Documents-My-Games-Ghost-Recon-Wildlands-SAVES-does-not-exist-Forums

https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Tom_Clancy%27s_Ghost_Recon_Wildlands#Save_game_data_location

I concluded that I needed to put the aforementioned files (named 1.save, 2.save, 3.save, 4.save ) in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\%mywhateverID%\3559 while having Uplay Cloud Save Synchronization turned off via Uplay’s Settings and then launch the game.

But every time I’m doing it, I’m getting Save Game Corrupted error messages. So I checked here:

https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/faqs/000026597

Yet this didn’t help one bit because I don’t want to start a new character, I want to play a pre-existing one, that for whatever reason is getting corrupted messages.

Is there any way to force/blackmail/interrogate the game to recognize the save files? I am really really REALLY not keen on starting over from scratch, while the same character is armed and fully operational in my cousin’s pc located just 3 floors under me.

The save from your cousin will not work
The Saves are codded to just one Uplay account, there for you will not be able to use it.
You need to start from beginning

"coded to just one Uplay account" ? Is there no way to dissect the save files with Notepad or something, just like .ini files and manually change paths, IDs, values etc inside them to match my Steam/Uplay/whatever ID ?

From previous experiences I had with corrupted save files, specifically with my Darksiders Warmastered Edition save files, when they got corrupted once, I resorted to downloading and running a cmd.exe command file programmed by some good fellow that knew programming and had uploaded it in moddb.com that magically restored the save files to perfect shape.

No.
It is not possible.
The Save can contain some pay or deluxe edition DLCs.
If some one who got just standard version and obtained Save from other person who brought the DLC or deluxe version, would be getting it for free.
And that is the reason why Saves are codded.

And Darksiders is not Ubisoft game
