Have you recently installed anything which could be changing core system files (such as shell32.dll)?
I'm going to assume you haven't changed install paths recently (You really need both uplay and Wildlands both on your C: - If not, relocate them)
See another report from someone where they fixed the issue by reinstalling Steam itself
Some people say they just left it alone overnight and it worked the next day - heh
To be honest, it looks like a generic error message, so I imagine there'd be all kinds of "fixes" which may not actually do anything for you, as that's not your issue
thanks for the response, i havent installed anything in-between and i forgot to list it but i reinstalled steam completely aswell, also the game and ubi are in the same drive.
Yeah, I suspect it was a Windows Update that sorted the issue for those who were saying they just left it alone overnight and it started working - People suck at documenting what they do these days, makes googling a bit hard
Glad to hear you got it working again anyways - Also thanks again for letting us know what fixed it for you
