Is the ACR a SCAR variant?
Kinda curious, what's the IRL equivalent of the ACR? It looks like the CQB version of the SCAR family, but not sure

They are on different trees

in fact, a lot of equipment need to be put into SCAR to compensate builds, but ACR works out of the box. But afaik once maxed, SCAR does better accuracy in both variant. ACR are less expensive while SCAR is widely used in Seal or any special forces. In fact you can try to compare Mk16 vs ACR accuracy in the game (though Mk16 in real life is more expensive, its way more accurate while it has similar handling in IRL)

Mk17 in other hand, used widely as DMR, it can even mount a 0.308 (usually 7.62 but u can even mount 0.308). Does very hurt and penetrate most kevlars. Accurate but.... handling kinda bad.

USA:
ACR was made to replace M16 and developed in 1980-1990, while Mk16 and Mk17 was developed in early 2004 and ended in early 2017, before getting low production testing.

Mk16 was designed to replace m4 rifles (assault rifle), while Mk17 designed for DMR (battle rifle)

because Mk16 doesn't offer that much improvement to m4 rifles, the purchase is canceled and removed from inventory, while Mk17 still in use. But USA buys conversion kit for 5.56 allowing Mk17 use 5.56 rounds

Ah thanks dude! I've shot some M4 systems and honestly the ACR system in-game looks insanely light, was looking to see if they had a variation at the shooting range to try out. I'm only versed with the m4, but looks like the SCAR line is a possible issue when I enlist, so I wanted to feel it out.

Cheers!
