Crashing at loadout
Weird new bug popped up when I got a new graphics card (2080Ti). Whenever I go to the loadout screen. It shows briefly, then stops mid animation of your avatar and freezes and crashes to desktop. Never had any issues with the new card in other games or anywhere else in Wildlands.

Anyone else here experienced something similar?

Yes, same problem for me! Everytime I open the weapons loadout screen, the game freezes and crashes to desktop. All other menus ingame work fine. I also own an RTX 2080Ti.

Hey :)

If you are experiencing this, can you please head to our support site[support.ubi.com] and set up a support case.
Could you also upload copies of your system files[support.ubi.com] to the case.

I installed a new 2070 RTX today. Game loads and plays fine until I go to the loadout screen in the game. The screen turns black and computer freezes as others have previously stated.

I have this game on Uplay only, ryzen 2700x, gtx 1080 ti and.no crashes, so yeah looks like it's not compatible with rtx cards or just rtx being rtx lol

I am also experiencing this issue - crashing to desktop whenever I go to Loadout. I have a 2080ti. Hopefully there is a patch or workaround soon

This issue disappeared for me now. I am not sure why, but I changed the TDR timeout (WDDM TDR Delay) to 10 in NVIDIA Nsight Monitor options for some other purpose, and next time I played Wildlands the issue was gone. Perhaps someone else can try and see if this is related?

This was discussed in the Ubi forums since the RTX cards came out and Ubi just doesn't seem to care.
There are several "solutions" discussed there by users (like entering "airplane" mode or renaming folders containing animations) but none seems to work for me ... at least not permanently. At some point I was pretty sure that uninstalling Nvidia Experience would fix it, but now the freezing is back without Experience being installed.

RTX 20080 Ti and 8600k here. Still experiencing the crashes described here. Very frustrating. Edit: My GPU drivers are up to date and Windows 10 running on latest version 1809.

I was experiencing crashes on loadout / weapons menu with RTX2070 and this is how i solved it.

1. Run Steam as Administrator
2. Run Uplay as Administrator
3. Browse game files via steam and set "GRW.exe" and "rungame.exe" to run as an
Administrador.

Good luck, hope it works for you !

Ah man, thank you for this. I can confirm it works. No more crashing on RTX.

Edit: Update, this doesn't work for me after the first session I mentioned above. My game's crashing again.
