Deactivating tier 1
So I have concluded that operation watchman is impossible in tier 1, so I want to temporarely go to arcade to do the mission. Will I lose my tier level if I do?

You can activate and deactivate tier one whenever possible (your lvled up weapons don’t do extra damage when tier one is off, but they do keep their lvl when you reactivate tier one); what I did for watchman is set gamemode to arcade, then helicopter parachute into the room for the first part.
I said earlier in another post I cannot find: you really expect 4 guys, 3 of them AI who’s primary job is to revive the player, to sit in the tower of a military base and hold off an all-out assault on that tower for a couple minutes, complete with light infantry, armored cars, and attack helicopters?
Matchwood u drunk go home.

Yea, I remember seeing that and it is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ true. See, here is the deal: Ubisoft is trying to make challenges challenging by breaking the process of the game. Ghost Recon: Wildlands is supposed to be a game where you choose to go guns blazing or stealth, and like any other similar game, it is always going to be stealth. This is a stealth game, especially in tier 1. So when ubisoft decides "Hey, I know! Lets make this mission forced guns blazing!", they are straight up breaking the entire premice of this game. It would be like if they added a 5v100 in Siege, but with PvP rules applied. It is really sad they can't figure this kind of crap out themselves.

I wouldn’t mind as much if spam fisher mission was more optional, but not really.
Which bringing rainbow siege in, I never played rainbow the game, but their GR:W mission currently is the same way: every time you get to the final level of that mission, it is you vs like 60-70 Sicarios (I counted over 50, I am not exaggerating), the mission would be fun if at least you could clear the outside of the building using stealth before breaching, but it again is impossible in tier mode because genius Caviera starts yelling when you get there and you usually die several times before you even get to the building in tier mode; again it is another mission you have to set to Arcade to actually complete.

Fastest way to leave Tier 1 mode is change difficulty.. that mission is .. not fun!

I will not do it even on arcade with my Ghost Mode char, as you might even run out of ammo, and can't switch without a loadout box in Ghost Mode. even with generator blown up earlier on the day, and the AI team sitting with all the snipers ready in sync shot..Full rebel support and diversion, mortar etc etc..
With s bit of lack of luck, you might have an enemy walking in during the senile bastards conversation and kill you in the 'cutscene'

You can also insanely exploit the Tier/difficulty by knocking out a convoy, or doing a mission on normal.. and switch to Tier when about to get the reward. Not sure if it's a bug..
But it's silly, and there should more or less be a cooldown on the switching back to Tier mode.

It is most certainly 100% possible to stealth the outside territory of the building in the second part of the mission, and the inside isn't that hard when you realize you can shoot through most walls and the enemies are locked behind wooden barricades.

If anything, the second and third challenge for the mission, which requires Extreme mode, is far easier than the shotgun mission...

It's especially a cakewalk if you're playing solo with the AI - sync shot is hella broken, you can use mortars and rebels and everything and still get the first challenge done.

You can do some stealth, but it has to be long range, because as soon as you approach the building she starts yelling and s***, alerting everybody. (I am talking about the last section of the mission, the rest I did in tier mode).

I remember her yelling but don't recall her setting off the whole camp or anything.

*Sigh* for as glitchy as the game is, probably one of us is experiencing a bugged out version of the mission.

That is what has been happening to me, I have tried stopping here away from the camp, I have tried letting her follow me, I have approached from different angles; every time I get near she starts screaming war cries and stuff, alerting nearby enemies every time. Caviera would make a terrible ghost >:(

We were, but we kind of got off subject.

It's doable in Tier One, There's a corner in the room that only has one spot the AI walks up and you can just pop them as you see them. Getting away, that's the hard part.

That is the hard part, you still have to deal with the attack helicopters, the armored cars, and the light and heavy infantry that completely surrounded the building.

Just use the rebel support and mortars for that? :\

Doesn’t make too much of a difference in tier 1, light infantry surround all sides and attack helicopters bombarding you with rockets, it’s kind of hard to fight them off, make matchwood follow you, and escape at the same time. As well, not in tier mode, if you wonder into La Cruz with a new character, which I did with one to get the 30round mag for the P416 and the M1895, the mission automatically starts spamming and doing it with no rebel support, stock skills and stock weapons isn’t fun at all.
