I hear ya but i got me soft spot for the 416 its such an awesome weapon
Dont get me wrong i use Semi auto alot but sometimes Full auto is required.
1 - straight-up kicks. low recoil -> at some point (usually half-mag) big kick then lowering down-> making a vertical '2 dots' sign (some little spread). basiclly any AR with high ROF is based on this design, with handling build every high ROF AR can be like this.
2 - spread. usually on SMGs. litterally no pattern, only the first 1-3 shots can be controlled, then the bullets will just spreading all over the place, each shot have much more powerful kicks than any AR. the spreading recoil can't be cancelled with semi-auto fire mode, it still kicks your screen like earthquake.
3 - horizontal-up kicks. pretty much AK-47 recoil pattern from Counter-Strike. same as 1 but adding some strong horizontal that kicks the barrel to the right or left every few rounds. kicks are not pure random, it only happens after few shots fired, and always kicking back side to side, you won't experiencing all left or all right kicking. it's hard to predict, seems almost uncontrolable but after some practice you'll find your way. every CS player does.
4 - MG type. seems like the strongness of recoil depends on how many rounds you fired in one triggering. if you stop firing the recoil will start to lowering down but not instantly. it's pretty much the same way in 3rd person view the circle gets smaller, but more comfortable and predictable.
even with compensators these basic mechanics can not be changed, it will only effecting your gun in a very limited value. so if you think standard muzzle is good for you then it is.
well i prefer compensators though, using pistol instead of rifle with suppressor. everytime i match up with people there always a guy who plays sniper role, so i just left long range engagements to them. when made, i just swtich to rifle and go loud, more stopping power and penetration power, and faster in reaction. why not. it's not like you put a banana on your muzzle, it's not that ugly.
during firefights some well-placed rounds are much more useful than full-auto since unidad soldiers can survive 4-5 shots from a lv30 Mk17. few fast tap is always helpful while aiming for their head.
but if you talk about PVP well that's a different story though.
