GRW won't start

as the title says the game won't start, as i launch it from steam, steam says laoding then nothing, no splash screen or anything it's like the game never launched..

pc specs:
i5 4570
8gb ddr3 ram
gtx 1080
boot drive ssd 230gb
2tb hhd (were all games are installed)

and so far ive been messaging ubisoft support for about 2 weeks with no help on fixing the issure, and ive tried everything from resenting network settings to unintalling and disabling all overlay apps (ex: fraps, msi afterburner, steam overlay, teamspeak, curse, overwolf,) and tried moving the game to my os drive and uninstalling and reinstalling.

and when i try to launch the game from the run.exe in the game folder i get a GRW.exe bad image error from windows but not sure if its related to steam not loading the game.

Could you try doing a fresh install of the graphics drivers

To do this:

1. Completely uninstall the graphics drivers, there are steps to do so {LINK REMOVED}here.
   
2. Reinstall the drivers fresh from the {LINK REMOVED}Nvidia Website.

Once you have done that please try the game again.

Anyone know of a fix to this? I'm having the exact same issue. Game won't load, not even a splash screen. Ive tried redownloading from a different download region multiple times, Ive uninstalled Ubisoft connect, deleted the cache, updated my graphics driver, installed on a different hard drive, etc..

I bought the game earlier today and had a similar issue with the no starting. It would show the game's splashscreen and open a window like it was going to load but remained black. I did every work around that the internet called for and could not get it to launch. Ultimately i refunded it.
