Yeah ubisoft tries too hard to be "Different and fresh and new!" that many games stray way too far from what had made them popular to begin with which causes a lot of friction with many of the fans. I didn't touch Seige or the division becuase of ther design but I hope its not another Blacklist or conviction either. Even though I had alot of fun with conviction, it just wasn't splintercell anymore, they had taken a game thats all about stealth/espionage and changed it into some weird action/shooter cinematic game that turned all the characters into B-movie hollywood remakes and basically just ♥♥♥♥ on all the previous games universe and design that had made splintercell popular. Blacklist was ♥♥♥♥. I miss Ironside's voice, he voiced Fisher so perfectly. If they make another splintercell they are going to have to do an awesome job on it and bring back some of splintercells roots: Stealth, hacking, hiding bodies, doors with key codes and other security measures, collecting information, Various methods of infiltration, Lethal and Non-Lethal approaches to combat, and trident goggles, they should start with Chaos Theory as a source of gameplay mechanics and ideas to build a game around. They would really have to cook up something good for the series to even be worth looking at again, it would have to be pretty impressive to get me to buy it after Blacklist. Unlike many I think a more open and free design style would be great for a splintercell game but instead of one open world map you get a series of big maps of different locations that you travel to as you splinter cell ninja your way around them. I don't even think sam should be the playable character any more since he is so old, but he should be in the game as the leader of the op or something idk. Also they should "reboot" the series story from CT or DA and just focus on the conflict and its factions and just let Fisher be the old soldier with the dark sense of humor that we all miss and not the crap from those other games.
