MK14 vs. G28

Which weapon is the better one in your opinion?

With certain modifications their stats can be almost the same it seems: max accuracy, max range, same rate of fire, same damage

The difference: MK14 has better handling and G28 has better Noise Reduction and more penetration then.

I am not really sure what's the better weapon. I mean handling does not seem to have a huge impact but the noise reduction of MK14 is already high enough I think and penetration does not seem to be very reliable (sometimes it works and sometimes not, so going for a penetrating shot in stealth is somehow a bad idea). I know that MK14 also has 3 different fire modes and G28 has only semi automatic fire but I find myself using only the semi automatic fire mode with MK14 anyway.

I prefer MK14 for the looks and because it has auto fire when things go south.

As for noise reduction, it is tied to weapon class, for example with SMGs, enemies will only hear your suppressed shots if you're closer than 25m, no matter what noise reduction stats shows.

Both of them have low dmg against alerted enemies, but at least not as bad as SR25.

I was excited to get the G28 but then not so impressed at all, G28 seems weak.

Ps, I'm liking the MSR very much even though it's bolt action.

Yeah, the auto fire ability looks cool but I didn't find it so practical because it usally makes my rifle dancing all across my screen and then I hit nothing. :D So fast semi auto fire seems to be better for me. MSR is not an option for me because I am looking for something that does great combined with my HTI (I look for a fast long range weapon that is also good for mid range combat).

Try Mk 17 assault rifle.

You can snipe with it, because you can one shot enemies 99% of the time, if you're not in Hunted or in Engaged state.

It has a lot range and there's couple decent scopes for assault rifles, you're pretty much out of options if you don't want to use G28 or MK14. You could always try that SR25 though, it's the worst but maybe you like it.

I actually have no problem with using MK14 or G28. I just was not sure which of the 2 is better. :D But thank you for your tips anyway. =)

I think I'll keep using the MK14 but I will check out the MK17. :D

They fill the same role so I made one for suppressor work & one for a compensator for the handling.
I chose loud for the mk14 for its autofire and the best handling of the two so is better for reflex shooting and the autofire sniping more than makes up for less power than other snipers.
The g28 I gave a suppressor and use a g28 scope to cover mid to long range shooting in stealth.
Thats actualy a really handy weapon set up like that as can grap the mac 11 for sidearm and cover cqb autofire and still have a spare weapon slot for whatever.

Is also that AK -47 "HIS"
Its an AR but is the only one with a sniper scope and can be upgraded to dmg comparable to the mk17 in tier 1 and having autofire it can be used like the mk14 but cant take a suppressor.
But yeah this weapon can also fill the role of the g28 or mk14.

I used to use the G28 a lot. Then I realised that you could do the same job just as well with a normal assault rifle.
