no problem here
only, if you buy the game in steam, you cant activate a dlc bought in ubisoft, and viceversa. need to buy from same platform
if you buy the game on steam you get the game plus a cd key for it that you need to activate on uplay to be able to play it, you can only download the game from the steam library and you can only run it on uplay
so the steam is for downloading it and the uplay is for playing it
Really ! WILL YOU ALL STOP WITH THAT BS CRAP ABOUT CD KEY !!
When you buy game on Steam or Uplay directly, you no longer will be given any CD key !
The game will get activated automatically in your accounts.
You will only get CDkey if you buy game from GMG, Humble Bundle or any other third party site, 95% of them sell only Uplay keys.
Also, you get game on Steam, you must run Steam and Uplay. Even if you start Uplay ,Steam will get started as well
Lastly, if you buy game on Steam, and if you want get Season Pass, you must get it from Steam, getting Uplay version will not work due to DRM incompatibility and Steam file management.
Same goes for Uplay version.
I bought GRW on steam and never got asked to pop in a cd key uplay just asked if I wanted to lock the game to my uplay account then poof it was done.
I also don't get the big scary uplay hatred that goes on, uplay has been fine for me.
What I did notice about the game folder in both uplay and steam version they are labeled differently iirc steam is labeled just "wildlands" and ubi is the whole game title.
Matters because on steam updates of the game are usually smaller, since they use better compression, you have you friends in a couple of clicks or steam overlay. on uplay alt-tab all the time. seems like little things but gets really anoying, really fast.
Yep, me too.
