Battle Crates Content

Battle Crate is the name of a collection of crates specifically designed for the Campaign and co-op mode (Spec Ops Crate) as well as for the Ghost War mode (Ghost War Crate). Spec Ops Crates contain Epic Weapons, Exotic Weapons, Vehicles and tons of cosmetic items for you to enjoy even more in the whole Campaign mode.

Ghost War Crates contain Exotic Weapons (re-skinned versions of weapons already available in the game – no impact on the weapon stats), customization items and an exclusive new line of skins for your character, called Icons.

Overall, all the cosmetic items you get can be used in both the Campaign and Ghost War modes. More than 200 items are available through the Battle Crates experience. All the items are also purchasable in the store through the various pack offers, except for the Icon skins that are exclusive to the Ghost War Crates.

Popped this game straight off my wishlist as soon as I heard the news, glad I didn't buy it yet. The open free weekend was pretty fun, but the microtransactions were the thing that really kept me from buying it even at 50% off.

Microtransactions are more like a 75% dicount on the buy. Gambling/loot boxes are a 100% discount.

Remember this is the same Ubisoft who said that there would never be microtransactins in "The Division" then several months later they add a boat load of them, to a full priced title that failed at launch AND had a full priced season pass. This is Ubisoft they are garbage and do not care about we the consumer.

I have more than 600h in the Division. I can confirm that the lootboxes are not an issue since you can unlock everything whistl playing the game.
But who knows, maybe next year they will launch something else and screw us over like Bungie did with D2.

I hope they wont make the same mistake.

The Division launched with lootable cosmetic items that I have found to be better than most of the loot box items. If there is ever a Division 2 I am sure they will pull lootable cosmetic items or make them more scarce.

Not everyone is okay with that. And nobody wants to be inundated with ads for micro transactions and loot boxes when they start up a game they paid money up front for, which is often what happens with games that implement those systems. Given the current loot box climate, you would think Ubisoft would know better, but they are known to go back on their word or otherwise stretch the narrative to fit their truth. Seems like people caring about loot boxes triggers you more than the people triggered by loot boxes. Take a deep breath and relax. Calling people morons doesn't put you in the right.

With the exception of free games, I dont support anything with lootcrates on it.
