GR Wildlands, flickering white lines
hi, just bought GR Wildlands two days ago and the game is fun and everything runs fine, *except when I open up the map and starts to zoom in and out I get this 1 pixel horizontal and vertical flickering white lines* but if I didn't open up the map everything runs fine, does anyone have this problem?

Tried:
1.The lowest graphic settings.
2.Turn everything off or to low in the graphic settings and video settings.
3.Putting sharping to 0.
4.Play on another monitor.
5.Change the game window to window mode, borderless and full screen mode.
6.Turn on and off the vsync.
7.Limit the fps.
8. Update my GPU driver.

But nothing seems to work... I also tried to play other games(like ac origins, GTA5, PUBG, TESO and MH world) and all other games runs really great, there are no flickering white lines at all.

Found a video that is similar to my problem but the person is playing a different game:

*Same flickering white lines appears when I tries to zoom in and out the wildlands map

My specs:
I7 8700
16GB RAM
GTX1080
PSU 750
Windows 10

Thank you

Is your VRAM overclocked?
Did you test another monitor?
Did you test another Cable?
Did you test another GPU?

Hi, no my VRAM is not overclocked, yep tested on another monitor and tried other cables too but the result still the same, I don't have another GPU but I also tried to play 7 other games and they ran perfectly fine, no flickering white lines at all.

Gameplay in wildlands is fine everything is smooth, the flickering only starts when I am using the map, after I closed the map the flickering is gone......

I also checked the GPU temp, it's around 57°C to 64°C.

Thanks :)

Know exactly what you mean! Got the same effect on the map. Think i did some resarch on this a couple of years ago. As i recall many many have noticed this and there is no cure. A bug possibly related to high hz monitors or v-sync. Barely notice the effect when playing on my 1080p TV at 60hz but on my 1440p G-sync 144hz monitor i can see it clear as day.

Try changing the type of AA it's using

I also get this, noticed it after going to 144hz g sync. Have given up looking for a cure as it doesn't break the game and as you say, I don't see it anywhere else.

I now think of it as interference when I access the online map "out in the field" and it's stopped bothering me

Try adjusting the games settings through the Nvidia control panel instead of the game. Works for me when i have screen tearing and flickering lines.

I believe that's caused by Vsync (off), it's called "tearing." Just because you *think* you turned on Vsync doesn't mean it is on nowadays. It can be overridden by both your application and your graphics (card) settings. You must check both to confirm. Some game-profile settings in Nvidia or AMD also override the setting (I NEVER use these profiles applications - computer bloat). Turning Vsync on is *supposed* to eliminate tearing, but nowadays it's getting more complicated with the introduction of Nvidia G-sync and AMD FreeSync. I'm not sure but I think either one of these effectively turns on Vsync permanently, but the tech may not be fully mature yet.
