Oh ok, so Ubi decided to change the way range finder actually works, since it´s supposed to show the range at where your target is positioned. At least the binoculars and drone in this game have built-in range finders.
Half the gear for weapons are stat modifiers. Rangefinders and laser 3-dots don't really DO anything for you aside from stat modification. You already have range when you mark enemies no matter what, so it's just about getting the best stats you want for a weapon.
Pretty much yeah, I just find it silly :)
GRW has so many points that fck me up but the bigger problem is that ubisoft is patching the game so that the graphics are downgraded or your controls sometimes not working for a short time. Or some other things happen so that you will die for sure. When a bot is turning into a beast you will understand what i mean. After a while such things happen. And i swear that did not happen in the first year of realease of the game.
So the graphic downgrade. Ubisoft is downgrading all games when the time has come to realese a new title. It is unbelieveable. You can tweak the graphic a little bit but what you can't do in GRW for example is, that you cant change the range where the graphic is getting good looking. When you are flying in an helicopter you can see that in an 200 meter range, the bushes are pixles and partly not visible and suddelny are getting nice or popping up out of nowhere. And a bit further at 400-500 meter you see a small city. The houses are pixle boxes and from one time to another a crane pops up.
I insist that this wasnt the case with older versions of the game.
I bought assasins creed odyssey two weeks ago and i was very exited to play it. After some years of break from the ac series i thought this would be a perfect game(also after origins). But the game is empty. I learned absolutely nothing except that there was war, occult lodges and citizens which worshipped to gods with sacrifices for whatever reasons.
The sense in games like: Assasins Creed, Far Cry, Ghost Recon, The Division is that you collect everything and fill out the map. That you make the map red and the numbers max.
End.
It is brainless and we learn nothing. (and they think we are dump: overkill of hud, wallhack, aimbot, automatic run, very fast pace like you absolutly do not care about the sourroundings -> i mean they create such beatiful worlds, but maybe we would see the quirks or the same recurring buildings.)
The games are polished and designed for being advertising friendly. When i bought those games i always was dissapointed. The division was a nice game but after hitting lv 30 the game was done. They said there was darkzone, pvp fights. Yes they came. Skirmish, resistance, world events or the survival mode. That was sounding so great. But they were empty af.
(((It is like the range finder: you see the rangefinder or maybe read about it that it exist and you wanna have it to mesure the range without using the drone or the binoculars. But they are only facade and are useful in form of numbers (more range-> less bulletdrop). )))
After playing a bit you have enough of that and i am thinking that only one more year... they would create such great games.
Capitalism makes everything worse and ubisoft is one of the big ones in his sector.
Back in the old days i loved to play Far Cry 2 and 3. Those games where so fun to play. And the atmosphere was awesome. The Division had also a great atmosphere, but like i said :/
I hope that times are getting better. We still got CD Project or other good developers and Bethesda has to make up for fallout 4, 76. The new Elder Scrolls has to be good.
