Tips for the helicopter fight in Operation: Silent Spade?

I can get to the helicopter and take off with no problems, but everytime I run into the helicopter fight and die. Of course, for some stupid reason they didn't make a checkpoint when you are in the helicopter, so when you die, you have to go all the way back to base to steal the helicopter again and I hate repeating that part for the 10th time in a row, any tips on how to finally beat the helicopters?

at the site with the sam sites hunt you AND the helicopters spawn is triggered,do a 180 and fly low and fast...they should be not there ..

Thank you for the help everyone. I didn't realize you didn't have to fight them since the objective changed to "Destroy the helicopters". I just kept flying through and lost them eventually, then went to the landing zone. Have a great day everyone.

After this tip, stay very very low. I even landed on the ground a few times after, just to get myself situated. Good Luck!

Easiest way to deal with these:

When you approach the final checkpoint (where the helicopters wait to attack you), slow way down and get very close to the ground. As soon as you hit the checkpoint, just land immediately next to the river (not IN the river, as I did the first time!). Then just casually wait for a minute or so and all the helicopters (which won't even see you) will go away.

Then just climb right back into the helicopter and fly to the destination. You might still have to worry about a SAM, but no helicopters!
