Second Playthrough Weapons
So I'm about to start a new playthrough with a friend. So I've made a new character, but this new character seems to have access to a lot of weapons which i unlocked in a previous playthough.

How do I remove access to these so we're both playing on a complete level playing field? None of the options I see make it obvious how to do this.

I am presuming these are just weapons you unlocked in battle crates and stuff?
You don’t, however you shouldn’t have any of the attachments you find nor any of the findable weapons, so there is nothing stopping you from just taking the P416 and MP5 only or whatever.

I don't remember where I got any of them from to be honest. Most seem to have these dog-tags as an emblem but not all, and a lot of them do have scopes and attachments. I've never used the in game store. How do I remove them and completely reset the save to true - base game? This is the first game where I'm looking for a factory reset :P

I could only use the stuff I find, but I assume we'll both unlock stuff together too (which i have already unlocked) and to keep track of what we both have its a pain in the butt already. I'd just like to completely wipe it and play the game as if I've never played it before.

How do I do this?

Create a new account, as far as I am aware.

They are just special skin weapons and stuff from what you’re describing, you don’t have to buy stuff to get stuff in this game, you get rewards and stuff.

They have zero effect on gameplay, and just ignoring them would be completely the same as starting new. The main weapons like the P416 and MP5, etc. are still the same, nothing new is added to the default weapons.

hmmm, it seems when I try to start the game with a newly created Ubi account it fails completely, as the steam game appears to be locked to my current Ubi account. It seems there has to be another way.

While true, as I said that things I my friend would unlock would already be unlocked for me, so I am gonna struggle to work out what I 'should' have access to had I been playing as a first time. Hense I want to delete everything that I shouldn't have.

It seems someone has made this very simple thing to be really poorly implemented.

here I have two SMG-11s, the normal and the 'dragon' special one.

What happens is you keep the SMG-11 Dragon when you create a new player. You can just ignore it.
However, the default SMG-11 will be locked. You have to, just like your friend, find it in the world.

The special weapons cannot be unlocked though exploration, they're special weapons you earned. Meanwhile, the weapons that your friend has to unlock - the AK-47, the M4A1, the TAR-21, the MK-14, etc., etc. - you have to unlock as well, with a new character. So everything your friend has to unlock, you have to unlock. The stuff that you get are just special presents and skins of weapons that exist seperately, which can be easily ignored.

Awesome. So how do we hide them so they can be ignored and not accidently selected?

Tbh idk, I don’t have a problem personally because they always have extravagant skins and dramatic names, it’s really easy to ignore.
As well, usually they are sorted to be on the bottom, so the weapons at the top are the standard weapons, and the weapons at the bottom are these.
As well, watermarks like a card or something appear on their icons, while default weapons have no water mark.

Back to this picture, essentially

> the special SMG-11 Dragon is below both the Skorpion and the SMG-11 [normal], the two standard compact SMGs.

> the SMG-11 Dragon has a card w/ skull watermark on the icon, the two defaults don’t.

So they are easy to ignore because of this. If you just started, for example, the P416 and MP5 default weapons should be at the top, and all the fancy stuff is under it.
