Unlocking New Areas...
I took out the first 4 drug dealers but other areas and drug dealers are blacked out. How do I unlock other areas?

Usually you just travel there and you start seeing content. There are a couple of areas that don't unlock content until you complete other parts of the game, though.

Thanks...and how does CO OP work in the game? Are there speacial missions or do people just come and help you?

It's a drop-into-their-world system. Anyone can pick a mission and everyone can either choose to assist or go do theri own thing. It's really great with a good group of people.
