No clue what you guys are talking about with downloading it. Own the game, not in my DLC list, not seeing a seperate listing in my library, nor do I find anything when I search on Steam. How am I supposed to download anything?

Same problem here to I own Gold edition cant get the beta on Steam.
played in Uplay after downloading beta preload from ubisoft site but why do steam users have to suffer lost time this beta is only open until monday and were losing game time right now.
Why cant we see the Beta in Steam for the Preload? Becuase its been delayed must be having steam app issues????
id prefer Steam Beta so i can use my Steam Gamepad

There is no pre load for the open beta on Steam.

I have a preloaded from 18th september a ghost war download from steam but i already have played the old beta and own the game.

Maybe for this reason i have the preload?

You can get the beta in the steam linked uplay client. Add the beta in uplay, click download.. and steam will do the rest.

I had ghost recon wild lands, I downloaded it before and played, it worked everything was fine. I heard about this beta, so I redownloaded ghost recon wild lands on steam, and the beta version too, and UPLAY comes up and asks for a cd key.

But before it asked for cd key, it wouldn't even run, it would say running, and then stop.

I heard people had a problem with the cd key thing as well. I just downloaded it from uplay and not from the steam version for the pvp beta and it works for me.

I think some guy got it from steam and got running when he had uplay running? but i only know from my experience so far that it works fine if you download it from uplay
