Instead of programming a proper AI, the gameplay is built by stiching a bunch of dirty hacks irrelevant to each others with bubble gum and duct tape:
-no bullet physics and weapon stats completely irrelevant just for show
-stealth insta-gib, combat bullet sponges
-enemies blind when stealthing but see through walls in combat
reaction time in stealth can be compared to that of a toddler, while in combat they react faster than the frame-per-sec is
-previous point combined with their otherworldly skills to handle dual uzis with accuracy that even skilled snipers look up
-player has only one big hitbox which has counter for about two to five bullets before dying, no matter with what weapon they shoot you
-in stealth enemies have only one hitbox: cutting their shoe laces with a bullet has the same effect as emptying a shotgun through their head. In combat they have four hitboxes: head, torse, both legs. Maybe arms too, but I've been unable to confirm. Also, even the legs might be just one large hitbox.
These are only the most obvious idiocies this game has. There are tons of others and they are not limited to stealth-combat balance or difficulty.
I'm not gonna rant about how incompetent coders and game designers Ubi has, nor give any credit to their sales department as they manage to sell this ♥♥♥♥ to people. I'm only aknowledging that I'm the same kind of mindless sheep as you are. Naiive enough to hope they'd learn, supid enough that I myself won't learn from my mistake of buying their game.
It's also not helped by the fact that there's simply no hiding or using cover from them so there’s that problem too but that's across the entire title's Op-For, which it oddly enough does not apply to friendly NPCs and squadmates.
