Once you find out why the US embassy was bombed Nomad and his team agree that no matter what El Sueno dies. What should have happened is that since you and your team do not exist you can do whatever you want and to be fair that was going to be the original basis for the game a choose your own path type of thing but being Ubisoft that was "too complex for them" and they ditched it. That would have been a far more believable ending, Nomad kills El Sueno and that is it and since you don't exist you don't really answer to anyone or you simply stay in Bolivia and help fix the country or run it yourself who knows. Again it shouldn't have taken a team of writers to actually come up with a better ending then the two that we got. They are inconsistent and poorly written at best.
Is it becuz:
A) the voice actor reads his/her lines with a flat tone and completely lacks emotion? Or
B) there is actually too much emotion in it and the whole thing becomes over dramatic? Or
C) the voice actor simply has a different voice the player expects outta the game character
Personally I don't find any of the above to be the case here in GRW and the actors does what is necessary well. I don't speak South American Spanish so maybe some of you find the accents at certain points in the game wrong or something. Bottom line, think real hard again if you're expecting Oscar or Emmy level of performance outta a video game. No one is paying or being paid for that tier of talent for this field of work yet.
As for the script of the story, it's enough to explain your purpose in virtual Bolivia so I ain't complaining either.
Funny how you say "No one is being paid for that tier of talent" well you're technically correct, normally VOs get paid very little and tend to be looked down upon by TV and movie actors. Yet you get games like ME, Witcher, Dues Ex, heck a good VO can bring to life, emotion and character to what used to be a pixilated face like B.J. Blazkowicz. I'd say it is you who need to expect MORE from the studios who shove millions into these titles and this is the best that they can offer. Yet lesser studios continually prove that no you don't need just money to throw at the problem, you need to have genuin passion and care for the project. Again you do not seem to care or get it as you're clearly a shill for anyone who's willing to take your money and treat you like a wallet and that's fine but don't try and pretend that you know anything.
As far as the actual subject at hand, again the ending isn't well written or well done and it would have taken almost no effort to have actually gone through with the original idea and all of the character interactions that you’ve had across the entire game. Along with the ending that you saw OP there's a "second ending" which only happens upon your SECOND playthrough for some odd reason, and that only triggers if you have caused the maximum of collapse of the SB cartel and it's even worse or equally bad as the ending that you saw. It was a total cop out.
Get back to me when you have actual facts and data or even a proper argument or leg to stand on in order to support your claims before you call my response "weak".
Try harder.
Why even involve the campaign? lol
