And honestly, since most people are running a sniper rifle, they dont need their AR as a LONNNNNG range weapon. So using a ACOG is more than enough.
You can also run a G28 or SR-25 as a rifle and then equip whatever you want as scope on it.
2) What do you do when you get caugh off guard by a LMG dude who is already aiming at you? Is TAR fast enough to kill him before he kills you?
Ps. I am not trying to critisize you, I just want to know the ideas behind your "build" :)
Usually have it paired with the SPAS-12 for fights that happen under 70m.
That said, when I do use the Mk.17, it's usually built towards CQC with short barrel, folded stock, and a strong emphasis on handliing, since handling influences your recoil, bloom, aim speed while aiming, and reload speed. Usually pair it with a sniper rifle or LMG.
@<.GP: MK17 isn't really an assault rifle, but an highly accurate battle rifle, which are made for longer distances. As I said, I can headshot stuff up to 500 meters, so the answer to your question is:
"I can still oneshot targets at 500 meters range, I got more ammo, and I can full fire full auto for 75-150 meters range, and I got launchers to effectively take out groups of enemies, vehicles and objectives. I really can't see why I should not do that."
@TheGrimCorsair: That is some strong points, I will try the MK14 :)
