Can you play in first person?

Id really rather not play this game in 3rd person, can I just have perma first person?

3rd pereson view, first person aim. (you can switch to over the shoulder if you wish )

3rd person vehicle only.

When you are not aiming. you are 3rd person.

When you run around with your character, it's third person.
When you shoot, you have the choice. You can either shoot from hip and play in third person or from aim and play in first person. You just need to press ALT to switch between the 2 modes while aiming. Indeed, for snipers, it's pretty dumb to play third person.. but some weapons works better with hip like the gun from The Division. But it's a matter of taste I guess :P

Its perfect how it is Third person is the way to go.
I love that i can see my character while playing, also imo when it comes to stealth third person view works best.

I understand that it's easier with 3rd person, but I dont like playing in 3rd person in shooter games. I'd rather play in first person. But if I can have it so it doesnt swap from 3rd to shoulder view when I aim, that's fine too. I just thought it would be a headache to swap from 3rd to 1st person when I aim, every single time.

No no you don't need to... the game will remember which one you chosen.

You can carry 2 weapons at time + a handgun. First time you'll aim with one of those 3 weapons, they'll be in first person. Then you can set separately which one you want to be third person.

Let's say you want your handgun and first weapon be 1st person but the second weapon to be 3th person well you can. The game will remember it and put you in that mod automaticaly. You just have to set it once for the second weapon and then every time you'll pop that second weapon out, it'll be third person but the handgun and first weapon will still both be in first person. It's well made.

What I meant was going from third person, to aiming in first person seems like it would give you a headache.

So now that I can have aiming be over the shoudler, that's less of a headache.

Well yeah but well... as far as i remember, ghost recon games never been first person completely... maybe because of the steath part and all the tools and stuff I dont know... they could have make like in GTA V and let you chose XD

Third Person was a great choice by UBIsoft, First Person is cheaper and less immersive.
-> that´s why Wildlands + Breakpoint + Division have a huge playerbase.. not just shooter kids that run away after 3 months

Well, since it's necroed, might as well give my 2 cents. First person option for chopper or just vehicles in general would be great, or at least when using vehicle gun.
