They can serve any purpose you want, just asking which sniper would you rather have equipped in the middle of a large gunfight - Unidad, Santa Blanca, Helis, Pickups and all :)

MSR overall, HTI if taking out vehicles or helos are a factor.

Not really the sniping type. My game partner uses the HTI,but i do prefer the SR25 since i normally stay closer and need faster follow up shots.

Perfect for dealing with enemy snipers and other weaker enemies at long ranges. HTI is a good one if you plan to deal with copters and cars, though.

I keep both the SR25 an HTI equipped at all times along with the Deagle. I use the SR25 for medium engagements, I use the HTI for long range engagements or vehicle destruction and I use the Desert Eagle for CQC. If I need to go silent for close quarters, I'll exchange the Deagle for Lady Killer.

Technically u should go for the HTI.

HTI, i never bothered with the MSR in the full game as i only used it in the beta when i stole it off unidad. I havent noticed much differnce in them aside from the HTI's damage, they are both easy to use at range and both very acurate
