save skill points for skill medals?
many skills, you can upgrade if you find the skill medal for it. I am wondering, would it be more efficient to not spend skill points on a skill that you can get a medal for? OR is it, the medal upgrades the skill 1 step regardless? for example, Drone skill cool down, it says the medal can be found in villa verde. would it matter if I have 1 or 2 points in the skill already THEN find the medal and it still upgrades it one step? or is the medal only good for the 1st rank of it? and if thats the case, if i spend a skill point in it, then later find the medal, the medal does nothing?

Ive been saving skill points because I dont want to waste anything hah! but if it upgrades regardless of rank when you find the medal, ill go ahead and spend them.

Um, what? The medal just adds a flat bonus to the skill, irrespective of anything else.

Correct me if wrong, I think you need to invest at least one upgrade point into the skill in order to unlock the bonus.

ok. i kinda thought that, I dont know why but I thought maybe it only gave you the 1st skill point. thanks... I can finally upgrade my skills. as of now I have 18 skill points and can upgrade 28 different skills lmao.

I'm glad this was discussed. I maxed out one of skills and then later found a medal for it. But the attribute listed for the medal did not appear to affect the attribute of the skill increase via skill points. I didn't see anything that listed the overall effect with both.
