What is the activation code that you type int u play and how do i obtain it?

Steam buyers don't get any CDkey for Uplay, the game should activate automatically, in linked Uplay account when started for first time.

That is common problem by Steam users, happened with Division, Watch Dogs 2, For honor, and now Ghost Recon Wildlands.

That is also reason why I don't buy games on Steam, witch have own DRM Client Ex: Uplay, Social Club, Origin .

You can also contact support on Steam using the menu on the right from the game page in your library.

I suggest contacting Steam support then. Go to your library > GR:W page and click Support from the right menu.

In your library, each game has it's own page when you click on the game. So if you bought the game through Steam, there will be a Ghost Recon: Wildlands (GR:W) page. But Everchanger posted a link to a discussion on this forum that has a solution.
