Has ANYONE beat the El Pulpo escort mission?

Ive done searching and found that many others cant beat this. One guy suggested to get an armored APC, and force Pulpo into the armored humvee instead of the jeep, so I did that and have the AI on auto assault with APC as recommended and he still gets destroyed LITERALLY ten seconds after the enemy humvees start spawning. I have tried this mission almost 20 times now and its getting infuriating, I already have my progress blocked in malca because the stupid game breaking major intel glitch and now I cant progress in this province either, cant wait to see what game breaking glitch Ill run into in the next region.

play with real people also... if you need people go to the LFG here .. the friendly ai is useless so geting real peopel will help you alot

Well thanks for the tip. I dont usually play online but might try it if I cant do it in another four or five tries. The thing is, its hard for me to imagine that real players would make any difference, only because this mission is SOOO unbalanced, like borderline broken, the guy literally cant make it 100 feet down the hill before hes instakilled. It just happens so fast i honestly dont think it will make a diff but ill try it.

that or try to memorize the pathing of enemys in vechs and lay mines and c4 down... its what i did cause i was having issues with the hospital mission at first

Damn, can I ask how you accomplished this? Im inclined to think you are unnaturally lucky or just ridiculously good at the game, but can skill make any difference considering all you can do in this mission is drive? I mean you cant even shoot or do anything when driving so that makes me think skill is not even a factor. I cant get him past the 15-30 second mark without game over on arcade/easy mode. I guess Ill try the c4 method.

Also I think you forgot to list how you beat it, im sure you didnt just make that post to gloat so Ill assume you accidentally omitted any helpful information.

First I gone throught the route killing any thugs in the way and clearing the outpost in the halfway.

After that I just gone ahead of El Pulpo ramming the stationed cars and using the start assault command.

I actually took video so I can maybe upload it soon.

I'm not sure what the problem is honestly. Me and a buddy did it first try on extreme in the Cartel car with the minigun on it. Dude was fine. We rolled down the road unleashing the brrt. His car got destroyed at one point, he hopped out, ran to a semi with a trailer on it and jumped in and drove the rest of the way in that. We failed the first time but it was less a mission fail and more we didn't realize he was gonna take off in his own vehicle and by the time we mounted up he was out of range and we failed for being too far away.

Thank you I appreciate it. Tried it 3 more times, this time did what you did and went ahead down the hill before he even gets to the car and that helped, however it only got him maybe 10 seconds further down before he died :(. I really dont get it, some people cant beat it and others have no problem. One of my attempts failed because for some reason the AI in APC shot at pulpos car and it exploded, because a cartel humvee was on the other side of his car. Going to try coop now, its so irritating because there are NO checkpoints in this game and it takes me like almost 10 minutes just to get the APC and to just start the chase sequence.

A guy joined my Multiplayer game just for that mission and he had the same complaint. I haven't ever tried it in single so I have no input on that aspect, but we killed it first try.

Having a teammate with an LMG and the anti-vehichle skill shooting out the window of your car seems to have done it. Give it a go and try multi. People are generally down to do anything if you ask because there's so much to do they don't care what's next.

El pulpo will go for all the cars nearby, you can destroy all of them you don't want him to use and park a way stronger car for him to be in. He will take it.

During the day I seen one between Barvechos Mine & La Leprosería. But at night it isn't there.
