Freeze ups in helicopters
I'll be flying around in the helicopter, single player or mutliplayer, and then bang, freeze up. I can still move around the camera, access the menu, everything, just the game itself has stopped as if someone pushed a pause button.

It's not just in choppers, I get it driving as well.

Think it's something to do with draw distance and textures.

In a vehicle I'm currently seeing the roads with no textures and the game freezes until it catches up and puts them all in.

In a chopper, it freezes until buildings pop in and then lighting - the latter at night.

Getting annoying...

after 1 hour playing, the game stop doing that.

just keep it open it will stop doing that.

but yeah, we need a fix for this.

I have to wait an hour?
We here at Ubisoft apologize for any and all inconveniences such as pauses, stuttering, crashes, and anything game related. In our defense, an Ubisoft server admin had just discovered Sean Murray in the top server room sabotaging the works. Sean Murray is a developer for Hello Games, the very company who launced the utter catastrophic game No Man's Sky, and when questioned about his motives he insanely jibbered "THEY MUST ALL FAIL!!! IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!!". Sean has since been removed from Ubisofts premises and is now being charged to the full extent of the law. Our most sincere apologies, Ubisoft Dev Team.

Solved this issue completely by uninstalling from external drive and installing on SSD C:/ drive...

I will try this right now i always had that problem in the chopper its even worse now i wait longer 30/40 seconds and takes long even to load the options menu and i have a better gpu then before and before it would do that but takes like 5 secods to load the textures and right now i have the game open with the chopper froze and the camera able to move freely, i had a problem with IL2 battles and i installed it on C. drive and it works fine

I have to say it also depends on your gfx-card. In my testings even NVMe had this issue after I replaced my Nvidia with a basic Radeon rx570. PhysX for Nvidia is just way better (faster)
-> A weak Gfx-card can bottleneck your Wildlands setup and create regular freezes.. especially when using vehicles at higher speed
-> in Coop this is even more important (host should have decent rig with solid 50-60fps)

Hey guys,

Sorry to hear that you experience these freezes.

Can I just check whether installing to a SSD has helped as it seems to have helped others?

Many thanks,

- Ubisoft Support

Sorry for the necro but I'm on an SSD for the game and my OS on a different SSD and it freezes regularly while flying choppers. Even if the game has been running for hours it still freezes. The in-game fps meter shows cpu at 85%, gpu at 70%, and 50-60 fps with occasional drops. Win 10, i5 4670, GTX 1660 ti, 16gb ram.
