Key binding restricted.
I don't understand why you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game Devs won't allow us to bind the keys we need (Insert, Home, Page up, Delete, and page down) I payed 60 bucks for his POS and can't even have my keys bind the way i want....? POS)

It's because of a console centric approach to development.

This was one of the most frequenlty reported problems during the Beta and Ubisoft has chosen to ignore it.

I usually complain about that in games, pretty sure I read an article where the devs said they designed the game for PC first. Could be mistaken.

Either way, this is a problem I'm having. I use a Razer Nostromo, for multiple reasons. http://image.tianjimedia.com/uploadImages/2011/011/05P49Z9358NR_DSC_2305_500.JPG

It may look silly but I definately like it. I can't switch back to KB now, at least the one I have. Too cramped and too easy to hit wrong keys. Most games I can get by but there are a few that i have to use macros, reach for the KB or go without. It's a big problem in DayZ and Squad, where having to reach can get you killed.

With Wildlands I can't get my VOIP key working, even the default one ~. I can hear myself on the echo test on the menu, but no one can hear me in game and I despise open mics. If it's just me and my buddy we use TS anyway.

Yah, this sucks that they do this. This has happened to a couple of games I've had lately, thankfully i have a programmable keyboard, its well worth the investment.

yes please let us remap keys
Insert, Home, Page up, Delete, and page down

thats the only request i have
other wise the game is amazing :)

Get a keyboard that lets you make a profile that changes the key default function. Mine lets me choose the keys i need to mask it's function. Usually mechanical keyboard does lets you do so. Otherwise i dont' know why they restrict keys from being binded. It don't make sense since those keys aren't used in a specific function in the first place.

The thread at UBI is almost to laugh.
Since people believe that one cursor-keys only served as left-handers ?
Wrongly thought !
With the left hand cursor buttons + buttons all around (more and better than with WASD)
with the right hand the mouse. What incompetence the developer... REFUND.

Imagine, if you will, that a program is like a house. You build a foundation and then put the house on top of that. You keep adding things all based on that foundation and then just as you unlock the front door ( beta test ) some of the people want the cement foundation to be brick. It virtually impossible to change that part easily if at all without a major amount of work.

So while I am no fan of any game company, I doubt very much they are ignoring you. They simply can't make that kind of change quickly and easily.

What you have to do, is learn to adapt to how things are. If you can't adapt, well then you are in or allot of heartache and temper tantrums.

Not true it can be easily done.
Other games do it all the time.

All it takes is literally to tweak some INI. files locked behind Ubisoft Data caches, unlocking full usage of the entire keyboard is like a 5mb update at best.

This is why I can't play the game...at all! It is SUCH a pain in the ass the keymapping/binding is SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ complicated.

I have the same gripe with bethesda and hardcoding keys, annoying but saddly a 3rd party program is required to work around developers that want to cater to the console plebs & pc at the same time rather than address them seperately.
Look up "autohotkey" op.
