HUD bug maybe?
I have just come across this bug or atleast what I think is a bug, I've just started to play without using the crosshair, markers and mini map, just to make it a little more harder, now heres the problem, I can no longer use " Sync shot " turns out switching markers to " off " is what causing this problem, in the description, markers just say " Markers indicate missions objectives and player-set waypoints" no mention of sync shots, anyone else having this issue? I still want to be able to use sync shot as it's useful for taking out multiple enemies at once without causing alarm.

Don't really think it's a bug, I think it's on purpose. If you look on the preview of the HUD interface menu, it clearly shows an enemy marker as part of what disappears when you disable it. Would think sync shot includes enemies since it actually appears on them.

However, I wish sync shots would be a rare exception, since it give you a little bit more breathing room. It wouldn't be too overpowered but would make the AI feel a bit more useful since you now have a few extra sets of eyes following targets. Give us an option like "Off + Sync Shot" for those who want everything gone.

I just tried disabling HUD markers and fighting is more fun, but it disables what is otherwise a very cool mechanic.

That disables/renables everything though.

This is not a bug. Sync shots work perfectly without those darn markers. If you wanted to play this mechanic properly and not like a noob, you'd turn off their markers anyway, even if the enemy markers are on. On the very highest difficulty levels, like Tier 01, the game starts cheating like hell, giving the enemies an inhumanly accurate pinpointing ability to spot the player, then line up their weapon, shoot and hit, all in the fraction of a second. You'd better know when they start spotting ye, and since I modded out all those pesky audio alerts, the only thing I'm left with is that little orangy flashing visual cue when the enemies get a beeline on me, then I know it's high time to take cover or I'd be dead a split second later. Char died throwing grenades and exposing only one arm to enemy fire. Hit and dead.

I mastered Ghost Mode on my first run, so I know how to play carefully, and I've beaten Unidad on level 4 in Ghost Mode there too, and sync shots are an essential element of staying alive and taking down as much Unidad as possible for as long as possible without exposing yerself to their fire... but I never play with those silly sync shot icons. Goes without saying that everything else that ruins the image on my screen is turned off as well, so there's only ADS if you want to hit properly (in addition, the hit thumps are modded out as well, so ye have to constantly observe if and where ye hit and how to readjust yer shots, as ye can't of course hear a hit at 150 metres, not even at 20 m irl). And the dang minimap´is something I turn off in all games first, if they let ye, which they often don't. So there ye go. All is off, except for pings to measure distances and for coop, and aircraft reticles, since aircraft with guns have reticles, they also have GPS maps. But I have no missile alerts either, instead I know where they are and avoid them, or if I didn't, I can hear them being fired without that stupid loony bell going on drowning all environment sounds.

I sync-shoot by ‘marking’ enemies and constantly listening to what the respective team AI reports over the radio. They say when they're ready, and when the last one of them announces they're ‘ready’ or 'good to go', I give the order to shoot with the command wheel. It's not even necessary to fire yer own gun like many if not all players I see on YT do. If you want to time the shots so none gets killed when their buddies can see or hear it, then you gotta follow the three targets with yer own eyes, and not stare on fancy sync shot icons. When one of yer mates loses their LOS, they will say it too and ye gotta wait till they report that they have it back and are locked on the target again, etc. There is no bug in this mechanic. Sync shots can't be turned off, only the immersion breaking sync shot icons can. Which is a good thing.
