NAT status offline??

I can't join my buddy co-op because im stuck with the nat status offline thingy. We are literally connected to the same internet/router and he have no problems.
Im also rockin' a fresh install of windows 10 so there shouldn't be a problem there.

Anybody else experiencing this?

same here. I started a ticket with ubisoft customer service and they gave me a list of things to do to fix it. It worked but now every time I want to play the game I have to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ go through the list again in order to play the game. Some of those steps requiring me to restart my computer. This has been extremely frustrating!!!

How to Change an NAT Type From Strict to Open.

Step 1

Type "cmd" (without the quotes) in the Windows Search box. Select the Command Prompt to open a command window.

Step 2

Type "ipconfig /all" (without the quotes) and press "Enter" to execute the command.

Step 3

Look through the list of names until you see either "Default Gateway" or "IPV4 Gateway" and write down the numbers next those names. The numbers will look similar to "192.168.0.0."

Step 4

Open Internet Explorer, type the Gateway IP address in your address bar and press "Enter" to open your router's configuration page.

Step 7

Enter your router password. If you don't know the password, you may need to contact the manufacturer. However, for many devices, the default password is "admin."

Step 8

Click the "Administration" link on your router. Change the "UPnP" setting from "Disabled" to "Enabled."

Step 9

Click the "Save Settings" or "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page. Exit your router configuration tool.

If you setup a VPN either site to site or VPN client to VPN server between you and your friend(s) network(s), you'll be able to CO-OP with them.

NAT is not UPNP. NAT is Network Adress Translation, UPNP is Universal Plug And Play. NAT routing is a router/ISP issue, UPNP only helps with opening ports.

If you're behind several routers then you are going to run into NAT issues.

Its sometimes just the game also.... i haev no issues with online gaming but when it comes to this i get nat offline sometimes for about 15 minutes then it goes to moderate...

I did the steps outlined by Snakefist and rebooted everyting after and it's working for me now. Thanks Snake!

I play MANY games online and am wondering why this is the first one which needs special attention to connect.

Trying to connect to a friend today since its the free weekend and now i remember why i wassent all to fussed about it in the beta.. this issue why is it still here?

I have same problem. Spend a lot of time debugging but it comes to nothing. Did you find the solution ?

try this and see if it works:
Step one. Open your campaign window where it shows you and the 3 people and says you have Nat Offline

Step two. Unplug Modem power cable then replug it so it resets(Dont leave the screen with your squad in it. Nat should change to strict almost instantly then wait for it to switch to open when your modem finishes reseting.)

Step three. Exit squad/campaign window back to main menu then re-enter the squad/campaign window. (Should say logged into uplay and the offline in the top left should now be "Online")
this method worked for my friend and he had no issues
