Uplay asking for the CD key?

Uplay is asking for the CD key even though I purchased the game through STEAM? anyone else having this problem if so HOW DO I FIX IT? Thanks

you gotta contact steam support. it's suppose to auto add to uplay upon you launching it the first time.

Guess I wont be playing anytime soon if I have to wait for STEAM Support.

close ur U-play client and restart ur game on steam

go to the game in your library, right click, select "show gamekey" copy it, paste it

I'm having the same problem. Bought full game, had linked account, got asked for cd key. Tried to find it on steam but have no option anyhere when right clicking to view it like other games. Apparently you dont need one anymore for uplay i read somewhere & know others that didnt need to enter it. Ive tried verifying game cache, reinstalling uplay 3 times & running eveything under the sun as administrator. No luck. I then tried unlinking from steam in uplay & relinking but that failed as it now doesnt give me option anywhere in uplay to relink even when opening other ubisoft games (like it says it shld) I also have no option to link from website & only gives facebook, twitter etc. Super. Have emailed ubisoft but will be waiting for response for a while now weekend.

Ive also emailed steam. If i get any feedback ill update it here. Hopefully wont require reinstalling game.

Please make sure that you know STEAM is not going to give you the CDKEY and in this game all you need to do is go to the UPLAY and click setting -> connect to the steam, and restart both UPLAY and STEAM. It SHOULD BE WORK!! Enjoy your game guys!! :)

late to the party, but bought the game 1 year ago, started playing now, got puzzled with same question; however, you just need to restart Uplay, and everything will be automatically done.
